Colette's POV
''So how about that training?'', my aunt asked, snapping me out of my daze. Huh? What training? ''What training?'', I asked, voicing my thoughts. ''Well, the one that you have to do to get into the space agency of the agency of spies,'' she responded. ''ok, so when do we go? To the agency, I mean.''
''You're already here'', a strange robotic voice answered me. It seemed to be coming out of my aunt. ''You're aunt is waiting outside for you. She will be viewing your progress on a screen in the control room. Your tests will consist of how strong you are in 3 fields. Physical strength, mental strength, and your psychological strength as well. These tests will be the hardest, most grueling tests that you have ever done. All of your skills will be tested, including how you handle situations, how you use the items provided to you in a situation, how you use new weapons that you've never heard of or seen before in your life, and finally, how you handle real- life situations with lots of survival skills, and if you'll put your own life at risk to save the ones of others. Your tests start now. In 5...4...3...2...1...commence test start now." That's when the empty room melted away, and I was standing outside in a beautiful meadow with the greenest grass that I had ever seen.
Wow, thanks so much. You've been so helpful to me!'' I spoke to the empty air. 'Well then.'', I sighed after getting no response. ''Wait...is it just me, or is that the smell of burning?!'', I panicked, looking all around, trying to find the source of the horrible smell. When I saw flames in the distance, I ran toward them, instead of running away like the rest of the villagers. When I got to the village, I saw that the whole entirety of the town was on fire. I found some water, and started throwing it on the flames with a bucket. Just then some lady came up to me looking panicked and said, ''my babies are in that building, and it's about to burn down! Please help them!'' Typical cliché scenario. I sighed, and ran inside the building, pulling out an element proof mask that heightened all your senses out of my pocket. I don't even know how it got into my pocket. To be honest, I didn't even know I even had any pockets. Anyways, I ran in, hoping that everybody was alright, and more so hoping that my clothing didn't burn off.
I heard someone crying in a room at the end of the hall. The doors were all on fire, but the room where I heard the crying from was completely engulfed in flames when I opened the door. I quickly scanned the room, seeing no traces of human or animal life. I was about to leave the room, when I saw another door, off to my right.
I opened it up as well, but with great difficulty and pain. When I finally managed to get it open, I saw that it was an ensuite, but flames covered every surface. It didn't help that the whole house was made of wood. But anyways, I saw a Jacuzzi-style-hot-tub thing with water filled to the brim. Inside were some little kids crying out for their mama. I opened up the window to let in the fresh air. When I looked behind me to exit the bathroom, the whole entire door was in flames. ''Curses.'', I muttered.
The kids were looking at me, looking really scared, so I just hugged each of them individually and told them that everything was alright. Just then I had a wild idea- and it involved a window and jumping. '' I'm so glad that I wore my shoes with bouncy soles today....'' I picked up all of the kids, one sitting on my shoulders, holding my neck, with the 2 newborns in each of my arms. Another toddler gripping my neck, while hanging from it.
I took a deep breath, then I jumped out of the window, the 4 kids hanging on to me for dear life. The ground came rushing up towards us really fast. I braced myself, and held onto the kids as if my life depended on it. I landed with a soft thump, and a smooth landing. The babies were crying, but I managed to calm them down. I found the lady, and told her, ''here are your kids, miss.''
