Adrianna’s POV
I was at home, making dinner when my mother came in.
“Where have you been!” I snapped.
“Out Adrianna. Out.” She said tiredly.
“Do you even know what happened in the last 3 days?” I asked.
She rubbed her eyes and said, “Addy, I just need to lay down.” “Dad came back and harassed me infront of my boyfriend!” I told her, displaying my dark bruises infront of her.
She looked at me. “Your dad is here?” she asked. “That’s not the point!” I yelled.
Right on cue, my father walked in carrying a bag full of groceries. He stared at my mom and my mother stared back coldly.
“Angela, where have you been…” SLAP! My mothers hand made contact with my fathers face, causing a moment of silence before a full on riot between them.
The yelling was too much, reminding me of why we moved here; to get away from this. I had to get away from this. I quickly ran upstairs and put on a hoodie and some sneakers. I hopped out my window and climbed down the convenient tree outside. I put my hoodie up and walked away from the danger waiting to happen.
