I just wanted to be my own

But we must strive to be so

Now mean volumes to me

Only Saturday night

I now have someone to lead me

We hugged

We cried

We prayed

We found out

Just waiting on Him

Is the only thing we must do

When communion happened

When I spoke the words

The ones that brought me closer

It all unraveled

When I thought He was taking forever

When I thought it didn't matter

He made it matter

He made it clear

The way when we found each other

When I knew she was the one to lead me

Only minutes later

Did I find out

That God came through it all

I now have a mentor

And also a Bible club

With healthy Christian friends

Everything was answered

In 48 hours

It's unbelievable

How He works

How when I told it all

She replied with a simple

"My prayers have been answered"

And we both held each other close

And let the tears of joy

Fall freely down on our face
