Prologue. A promise
"Maybe it's better for us to stop this. Let's just be friends. Let's focus on our studies. Just stop waiting. I don't want you to close your heart just because of me. I want you to be free, totally free." I gallantly said though deep inside my heart is breaking into pieces. I wanted to take back all the painful words I said but I threw those thoughts back in the deepest part of my mind. I just know that that was the right thing, as of now, to do. I swiftly turned back to cover the tears that started to flow which blurred my vision.
"No, I'll wait for you Alice. No matter how long it takes. I promise! I love you so much! So much Alice! You are everything to me, my life. I mean it!" he declared with all his strength, opting not to break down. I still continued walking far away from him as if I'm walking towards my death.
That was the last conversation - a heart-breaking one - Shone and I had. But, was it a real conversation?
