Jessica's POV:

I continued to cry. Austin picked me up and carried me back into the house. He carried me to our bedroom upstairs and laid me down. He kisses my forehead ever so gently.

"Please babe... Don't cry... Have faith. Mia will be fine. We'll find her soon and she'll come home to us unharmed." Austin whispers in my ear. "I love you."

I wiped away my tears. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him onto the bed on top of me. I buried my face in the crook of his neck.

"I love you too." I whisper. "But I'm scared for her..."

Austin flipped over so I was on top of his chest. He rubbed my back.

"Hey. She'll be fine. We'll find her soon. I know we will." Austin replies.

I heard him sing a soothing tune as I closed my eyes. I urged myself to stay awake, but my eyelids got heavier. My mind left reality, entering a deep sleep.

I woke up to the sound of my phone. I opened my eyes and looked at the time. It was 3:24. What?! I was asleep that long?! I sat up and grabbed my phone. I looked at the messages.

From: My Austy <3

Hey baby. I left to see if there was anything I could do to find Mia. I'll be back home around 4. I gotta sort things out at the police station too. Love you.

I smiled and put my phone down until the phone rang. I picked it up, assuming it was Austin.

Me: Austin?

Other Line: *smirk* Oh. Is your fiancée not home?...

Me: Who are you?!

Other Line: Oh you know me well... You know me too well... *smirk*

Me: Who are you and what do you want?!

Other Line: Just call me Jake. And I want to strike a deal with you.

Me: Why the fuck should I do that?!

Jake: Cuz I have something you desperately want... *pause* Say hello to mommy princess...

Mia: Momma?! Momma!! *cries* I'm scared momma!! Where are you momma?!

Me: MIA!! SWEETHEART!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!

Mia: *cries* He take me to his house... He is mean to me... He doesn't like me... He doesn't give me food...

Tears were steaming down my face. She was being tortured... I took a deep breath.

Me: What is it that you want?...

Jake: Hmm. Good choice. Break up with your little lover.

Me: No! He's my everything! We've been through everything together! Why? Isn't there anything else?!

I heard a smack followed by immediate crying.

Me: Okay!!! I will!!! Please let my daughter go!!!

Jake: I'll give you your daughter as long as I see you break up your engagement. You have until tomorrow at noon. Your daughter's life depends on it.

He hangs up. I dropped my phone and held back tears. I had to let the love of my life go?... I covered my face with my hands and started crying uncontrollably.

"Babe?... What's wrong?..." I hear Austin's concerned voice, making me even more upset.

I felt his arms wrap around me. I shoved him away for the first time. He looks at me confused.

"Jess?..." Austin calls my name.

"Go away!" I yell. "Go away!!!!!!!"

"Wha-... If you need time alone... Then I'll let you be al-..." Austin starts.

"NO!!! LEAVE ME ALONE FOREVER!!" I yell in tears.

I urged myself and took off my engagement ring. I threw it at him.

"TAKE THIS WITH YOU AND LEAVE ME ALONE!!! I DON'T LOVE YOU ANYMORE!!! GO AWAY!!!" I yell in tears, regretting every single word I just said. "I HATE YOU!!!"

He stood there, baffled. Confused. Upset. Heartbroken. </3

"Wha-... I-... I don't understand... Wh-... Why?..." He manages to croak out.

"I fell in love with someone new." I manage to lie, regret rushing through my mind.

He gives me the most painful look ever. Tears stream down his face. He looks at the ground.

"Oh............" He manages to say.

I grab my phone and bag and rush out of the room. I left the house and drove off. I parked at a beach and started crying in the car. I can't believe I just broke up with my soul mate... My life... My everything... Just to save my daughter's life.
