A/N: so it's the middle of the night and I'm writing this even though I have school tomorrow. Please excuse me if it's bad.

As I headed to the cafeteria, I noticed Luke Hemming's approaching me. I smiled.
He hasn't left me alone since last week when he walked me to class.
He passed by a group of girls who were drooling for him, as he walked towards me. Not paying attention to his surroundings. "So how about I get you some lunch eh?" He said in a fake posh accent. I nodded. "You're going to have to let me but you lunch sooner or later." I said playfully.
He shrugged, "I don't think that's very appropriate." I furrowed my eyebrows, "what?" He just shook his head. I then caught on with what he meant. "Oh!" I blurted. Luke laughed, "You're so cute." I felt my cheeks heat up.
We've been texting back and forth, he hasn't stopped calling me cutie. I should be used to this by now.
I felt his hand go to the small of my back. I just knew my face was redder than a tomato. I looked up to Luke only to find him blushing as well.
"So why are you being so nice all of a sudden?" I blurted, regretting my words as they came out. He gave a confused look. "I don't know."
He let go of me.
Fuck, look at you smarty pants. Making some awesome questions, Einstein. I told my self in a sarcastic manner.
There was an awkward silence.
"Do you not like me?" He asked, as he stared down at his feet.
Is this a trick question? If I say no he'd probably stop talking to me. And if I said yes he'd probably get grossed out and stop talking to me.
I hate being a girl.
I sighed in frustration. Not knowing what to say. "I don't know." I said using his exact words. He nodded and gave me a soft smile. He almost looked... Hurt.
"Do you like me?" I asked, curiosity killing me inside. "Em, ye-yeah." He stuttered. I nodded. I couldn't take back my previous answer and say, 'omg Luke I like you too omg date me lolz.'
We walked into subway, Luke had memorized what I liked in my sandwich so I let him to it. I sat at a table in silence.
Luke's POV-
When I got home I was instantly greeted by my dog, Molly. I scratched her head a bit and walked inside. As I was being engulfed by the warmth that radiated from the fireplace, I walked to the living room throwing my bag into a couch in the process.
"How was school Luke?" My mum greeted me from her bedroom. I smiled and headed over to where she was. "It was fine." I shrugged. I can't let Jennifer get to me right now.
"Why just 'fine'?" She said as turned around from facing her closet. "Girls are complicated." I huffed. "How so?" My mum said making her way over to sit next to me on her mattress.
"Well the girl I like, used to blush and get so nervous when I asked for her pencil. You could easily tell she had feelings for me. And today when I told her I liked her and I asked if she like me, she responded with an 'i don't know.'"
My mum chuckled, "Oh Luke. You have a lot to learn." She said shaking her head. "And since when does Luke Hemming's confess his feelings for a girl?" She mocked.
I smiled, giving my mother a hug. "There's something special about her." I whispered.
