Chapter 9

Jennifer's POV-

I didn't know what Luke had planned. I was anxious, nervous.. You name it!

I decided on changing from my sweats to some skinny jeans, keeping the tee I already had. My hair was still decently straight from this morning, so I didn't have much to do.

I sighed as I walked through my front door, it was only 5 p.m. The sun was getting ready to set, it was only late September. The skies were beautiful. orange, pink and a little bit of red.

I was arriving to my destination when I hear a familiar voice.

"For a while we pretended

That we never had to end it.."

He stopped singing, cleared his throat and shook his head in what seemed like frustration. I stepped closer, close enough for him to see me.

I saw as the orange light fell on his face, making him squint a little. He stared at me a bit scared.

"Why'd you stop? I'd like to hear the whole song." I encouraged with a smile.

He nodded, and away his fingers went with his guitar.

For a while we pretended

"Jennifer, I know this was corny. And--I know you never really said you had any real feeling for me but--"

He stopped, his nervousness was getting the best of him.

Whatever happened to confident, player Luke?

I smiled, he was this nervous because of me. "Yes, I would love to be your girlfriend." I said stepping forward.

He looked up from his feet I big smile plastered on his face. He got off of the table he sat on and proceeded to hug me.

"Is it okay if I kiss you?" He mumbled into my hair. "You don't have to ask, I'm your girlfriend now." I smiled.

He looked right into my eyes, then to my lips, so slow it was killing me inside.

He then began to close his eyes and lean in, I followed. I don't know if it was all in my head, but I swear I felt sparks.

The real magical ones.

A/N: My friend kept telling me to update, so I did. yay. It's all I got for now. I had a bit of writers block but I think this chapter helped me out for the future. :) anyway, hope you enjoyed this cheesy JeLuke chapter. I don't even know. that ship name is horrendous. lol bye now!
