Chapter 01 : The Breakup

"Are you sure na ayaw mo talaga ng kasama?" Kathryn, my best friend worriedly asked me for the nth time.

I gave her a sad look. "Just leave me, please. I want to be alone." Pakiusap ko sa kanya.

She took a deep breath and says "Okay...okay. Just make sure na wala kang gagawin. I mea-"

"You don't have to worry about me Besh," Pagputol ko sa kanya. Lately she became paranoid when it comes to me and I can't blame her.

She smiled at me as a sign of relief "Okay, I trust your word. Basta 'pag kailangan mo ng kausap at karamay nandito lang ako, just call my name and I'll be here." Pabiro niyang sinabi bago tuluyang umalis.

As my best friend, I know how hard she tried to comfort me but sad to say it didn't work though I'm still thankful to her for being always there for me. But still no one can heal the misery that I feel right now.

Tears were started to roll down on my face. I can't help but cry every time I remember all the things that we had before.

A year ago...

"Now that I have you, I couldn't ask for more. I want you to know that I am the happiest and luckiest guy in the whole world for having you... I love you so much Celestine." He tearfully said after I say yes for the relationship that he had been asking for.

No words can describe how happy I am. I feel like I am the most beautiful and special girl in the whole world for having him. He taught me how to love and made me feel the sweetness and happiness that only love can bring.

I took aside all the risks that might be happen dahil naniniwala ako na kaya naming lampasan ang anumang pagsubok na dumating basta't magkasama naming harapin.

We're both happy and contented for the love that we had at ramdam na ramdam ko ang labis at tunay niyang pagmamahal. He became my world, my life and everything... hanggang sa bigla na lang niya akong iniwan that made my life miserable.

"NO CIAN!! MY DECISION IS FINAL!" An angry tone of voice made me back to my reality so I hastily remove the tears on my face. Sa hindi maipaliwanag na dahilan tahimik at dahan-dahan akong lumapit sa pinanggalingan ng boses.

"I'm begging you; please don't do this to me. Kahit long distance relationship as long as tuloy pa rin ang relasyon natin. I can't afford to lose you, Dianne." Nakaluhod na pagmamakaawa ng isang lalaki sa girlfriend niya, or should I say soon to be his ex-girlfriend.

Eavesdropping is not my thing and this is the first time na nakikinig ako sa usapan ng may usapan.

"LDR? Nagpapatawa ka ba? Wala namang kwenta ang LDR na yan, marami na ang sumubok pero sa huli wala pa rin. So please tumayo ka na at itigil mo na ang pagmamakaawa sa akin dahil lalo mo lang akong pinagmumukhang masama sa ginagawa mong 'yan." Iritableng sinabi nung babae at walang atubili namang sinunod nung lalaki ang sinabi niya.
