I just continued to run as fast as I could, trying my best not to look back.. the figure running behind me yelling my name every 6 seconds, the ground shaking rapidly.. Autumn! Autumn! Autumn!
I woke up and gasped for air, now realizing that I was only dreaming.. I sat up on my headboard in attempt to calm myself down, Alicia not taking her eyes off me the whole while. "Autumn what the hell is your problem? I've been tapping you for like.. forever." Alicia said in a confused tone shaking her head at me. "Everything has just been so weird lately Lee.. the random calls from numbers with silly area codes, the difficulty unlocking my door, and now these texts."
"What texts?" she asked seriously but still confused.
"These.." I hovered my thumb over my phone and unlocked it then handed it to her. She read the small conversation and laughed which left me trying to figure out what's the joke.
"What's so funny?" I asked offended.
"Oh lighten up kid.. it's probably just Ryan's childish self picking with you." she said still tickled. I had the same thing in mind but Alicia always says that, 'oh lighten up', she never looks into things or takes anything as a sign. "He said he'd be at the party tonight, maybe you should confront him about it." she continued.
"I most definitely will, I'm not a fan of these pranks he calls himself playing." I replied.
"Now get out of bed fat ass, we only have about an hour and a half to get ourselves together." she told me as she snatched the bedsheets off of my body. "Yeah, yeah, be right back." I said, slowly getting out of bed, grabbing my phone and a towel and heading down the hall to the communal showers.
I stroked through my hair with my wide tooth comb one last time to make sure that there were no tangles since I'm Alicia's mannequin for the night. I wrapped the towel around my shivering body and grabbed my phone, throwing my clothes into a hamper on my way out. I walked back down the hall and into our room to see Alicia dancing around in the mirror. "Wow, you look goood!" I complimented her as she continued to dance around.
"Thanks bestie, you're gonna look even better once I'm finished with you."
Alicia had just finished curling my hair and had started on my makeup which in my opinion, it didn't seem like she had a clue what she was doing. "Ow! You do realize that you're poking the shit out of my eye don't ya?" I asked fed up with her bad angles, she's poked me in the eye about 8 times now with the mascara.
"If. I. Could. justtt get this last lash." she said pausing every time that she swiped the mascara through my lashes. She spun my chair around revealing myself to the mirror. "Well, what do you think? Smile bitch, you're like.. perfection right now." She said with the biggest smile ever as she admired my transformation. I was at a lost for words, I definitely didn't look like my normal preppy self.
"Uh wow, thank you!" was all that I could say. "Now here, put this on." she handed me a short, fitted, red sequin dress along with a black pair of red bottomed heels. "You.. want me, Auburn.. to wear heels?" I asked. She can't be serious with me right now. "Just put them on sis, don't be such a wuss." she retorted.
I slipped on the clothes and my mouth instantly formed this 'O' shape as I was infatuated with myself now. "Bitch if I were gay, you'd be my wife." Alicia's compliments were always overdone. "Well? Are ya gonna say something?" she asked but all I could do was smile at my reflection, never in a million years would I have thought I'd call myself beautiful. "I loveee it!" I hugged Alicia.
"Calm it, don't be messing up nothing now." She hugged me back for like one second then lightly shoved me off. "Come on!" She pulled me from the mirror and sat me on the bed where we took like 50 hundred selfies.. the one that we both favored the most she posted on Snapbook with the caption Friends are forever, catch us at the Kappas Bash tonight! Geotagging the location, we were set. I couldn't wait to hear and see the reactions I'd get regarding my new look.
