First Date!
3rd person POV(Scorpius)

Scorpius slipped through the wintry wonderland with ease. He was easily hidden by the tall banks of early winter snow. He stopped by the Black Lake that was lightly frosted, but not solid enough to walk on. It was beautiful this early in the morning. The rising sun sparkled delicately on the snow, reflecting gorgeously across the lake. He hoped it would be this magnificent in the evening. He conjured a small table and two chairs. And left a candle and lighter for later on. He then began to make his way back to the castle for the rest of his preparations.

Scorpius made his way back to Ravenclaw tower before anyone realized he had gone. He lounged across the blue couch and pulled out a book of poems. He wanted their first official date to be special. He searched until he found the right one.

Love
More than infatuation
More than joyful tears
More than countless stars
More than empty promises
More than simple crushes
More than unlikely feelings
More than silent obsession
More than true laughter
More than measly sparks
More than freedom
More than wants
More than yourself
Love
Eternal love
I confess
My love

Perfect, he thought. They had been dating for 3 months, she deserved the truth. He had never felt the same way about anyone. He needed her, not in a possessive way, but as if she were a missing piece to himself. A piece, if taken would devastate him, yet not completely destroy him. A piece that would incapacitate him for life on an emotional level. He needed to show her that. At first, he thought he might be coming off too strong, but a part of him knew it was time. He knew if she couldn't accept it now, she might never.
...........................................
He went through out his Friday classes normally. Herbology with Slytherin was a breeze. Afterwards, double potions with Ravenclaw proved more of a challenge. Today, the class would attempt to brew Amortenia ((clichè I know...)). Scorpius was no potions prodigy, but he was fairly good at following directions. His potion turned out the right color, but lacked the pearly sheen. He looked to the front of the class to see Ravenclaw Rose Weasley being praised by the professor. He took her cauldron to the front of the room and called them one by one to the front of the room to smell it.

Scorpius slowly approached the glittering cauldron. He took a small sniff. There was an overwhelming scent of a spice he could not place followed by a flowery perfume and broom polish. Finally he caught a whiff of old ink stained parchment, the map no doubt. Scorpius wrote down the smells to describe for his short six inch essay on what he smelled.

-spice? Christmassy?
-perfume (Lily's)
-broom polish (Quidditch)
-old parchment (Pranking? Al?)

Scorp realized the identity of the spice soon after her wrote it down. Ginger. Lily. Seemed like he had Lily on the brain. He hurried to lunch at the Gryffindor table with Lily. He was surprised to find Al there too. Al only joined them for prank ideas. Scorp smirked.

"Are you sure?" Lily's voice carried.

"Very," Albus smirked.

"Would you lot like to catch me up," Scorpius sat down.

"We were thinking of putting a weak love potion in James's drink," Lily grinned excitedly. James didn't have a girlfriend, but it was obvious to his siblings he liked Alice Longbottom. Alice whom he sat across from everyday. Scorp held back a snort.

And then there was Al (scorlily)Where stories live. Discover now
