Phobia (Boyxboy) Part 4

As I came to I noticed that I was once again curled up nice and warm in his sheets, the wonderful aromas of food wafting in from the kitchen awakened the hunger in my stomach. In a daze, I followed the smell with half-lidded eyes and almost moaned at the feast before my eyes. Plates upon plates were stretched out for what seems like eternity on an elegant wooden table that seemed to be never-ending, a kitchen to the doorway in the left.

Out of pure-curiosity I peeked into the kitchen and my eyes widened at the comical site set before me. Drew was frantically trying to juggle many tasks at once, flipping pancakes, frying sausages and toasting bread while a petite red headed women was just sitting down on a chair stifling her shrieks of laughter behind closed lips.

My open lips were pressed tightly together to stop the little twitter from coming out but when he accidently confused the egg with a pancake and flipped the egg instead, I couldn't help but giggle as it hit him smack bang in the face before slowly sliding off but leaving a slimy trail. He seemed to give up cooking - or whatever he as trying to do - and somehow the girl knew and took his place, managing to save whatever was left of this.

Just as he was about to sit down, he finally noticed me standing there and his eyes went bug wide as his cheeks filled with pink....was he embarrassed?! He looked away and mumbled a good morning to which I replied with a shocked silence. This would've become and awkward moment had it not have been for the green eyed girl who stepped in at this moment and placed the plates with yummy goodness on them onto the table he was seated at.

"Grub's up!" She announced with a clearly British accent, a small smile playing on her lips as she saw the state Drew was in, as if it amused her. However, for some reason her staring at him like that didn't sit well with me and I felt the need to rip her head off and shove it back up her ass - thought I knew she wasn't a threat. My eyes widened. What the hell was I talking about? A threat to what, what could her staring be doing to harm me that includes her staring at my man. I mean not my man! - My kidnapper!

Her eagle eyes pinned themselves in me as she motioned for me to sit down, for some reason that I couldn't explain, I did. I sat down and actually had a civil few minutes with Drew eating breakfast and for unknown reasons, I didn't really mind it. But of course as soon as we had finished we just had to talk again, well, someone did.

"So, has Drew told you anything yet?" She questioned as she collected up our plates and began washing them at the sink. I looked to him and saw a guilty look on his face, what was that for? What did she mean? Instead of replying, Drew butted in for me. "Well, I did kind of tell him things but..." He trailed off and scratched the nape of his neck nervously looking away from her.

Seemingly sensing his failure at informing me of some important issue, she sighed as if expecting this result and quickly finished up before coming to take a sit with us too.

She suddenly smiled at me and stretched out her hand, "Hi! My names Bella, this is my little brother Drew and we live here together as our parents our...a very long way away from here and we decided to stick together. We are both Demons but the main and only differences between us and humans is that we are unnaturally prettier, stronger, faster, we each have our own mates and also we each have our own powers! And you are?"

I gaped at her but then remembered what Drew had said that first night, how he had thrown me across the room and managed to shut the door though I was closer and he didn't seemed tired or in any way anything but calm, and his words..."I'm a Demon." I guess this time I handled this information better because I didn't freak out but just went into a little shock from having these things confirmed and meeting another one. But this one didn't seem to be as much of a jerk. In fact, he didn't seem to be one now either.

"Ashton," I mumbled, shaking her hand in greeting. She smiled brightly at me, "Nice to meet you Ashton! Would you like me to continue?" Might as well get it all over and done with then right? I nodded and she seemed to nod in approval.

"My brother is a lifeguard at the beach as I'm sure you know and has been searching for his mate for years, his mate is his life, his other half and all that he longs for. Many of us may be destined to never find out who their mates are and go wondering he earth lonely for either the rest of our lives or die in some way. You are his mate.

I know this is not exactly something you might be accustomed too but from now on, my brother will only have eyes for you, a heart for you and a mind full of you; he will be a possessive as you are not allowed to be with anyone else but him, fate has decided it to be so. I know how much of a jerk he can be and all but don't give up hope? I sense you will be a strong couple when we get past all those insecurities of you." She pleaded.

Seeing my slightly stunned face she added, "By the way, I have the gift of being able to tell what kind of person someone is, kind of like a six sense if you like. My brother can make things fly."

As if to prove his point, some of the things here began to rise, a bottle, the fridge... and then me. I squeaked and panicked immediately, trying to figure out a way of getting my feet back on the ground. Bella and Drew just chuckled underneath me and kept me there for a while before slowly putting me back.

"Do you have any questions?"

I shook my head but stopped midway as a question popped into my head. "What would happen to me? I voiced my thoughts and he grimaced slightly, turning her head towards her brother and implying that it was his turn to speak now. "Well, you would obviously get out of that foster home and start living with me; we would complete the mating ritual and then, well, live happily ever after?" He questioned. "The mating ritual is basically when we exchange blood and then have....sex." He added after seeming my confusion at this.

My cheeks instantly flushed at the thought but he wasn't finished. "And I'm sorry about...you know. I was just a bit over-excited at finding a mate and when you said you wanted to leave I might have over reacted a bit." He winced, running his hand through his hair. I scoffed, - a bit? "But I promise it won't happen ever again!"

I couldn't help but smile at his worry a little; it was endearing to say the least. "So, when am I going to start living here?" I asked, just as the doorbell rang. "Immediately," he answered as he rose to get the door and Bella when to work at preparing a small snack for the guest. I followed him through the kitchen doors and was shocked to see my social worker standing there. What was she doing here?

Drew let her in and the both sat down on the comfy white leather sofas before getting down to business. "I would like to adopt Ashton as I'm sure I had mentioned in the phone call earlier, I trust you have brought the papers as I asked?" She nodded and scrambled to find them, guess they couldn't wait to get rid of me huh? No questions asked, just signed the paper and he's yours (!) I thought mockingly.

In less than an hour they were done with all the paperwork, procedures and other things I couldn't be bothered to pay attention to, now he was my legal guardian until I turn eighteen which would be a couple of months later, I only hoped I could wait that long here as right now I'm confused as to what he's like. He's probably Bipolar - One minute he's slamming me onto walls the next he's....touching me intimately.
