You open your eyes to nothing, darkness enveloping your vision, not even a stray ray of light to be seen. You could feel the cold touch of the concrete floor if it even was concrete. You weren't sure. You prop yourself up, hearing the clink of metal. You feel the heavy chains on your ankles, but you still struggle to at least sit up. Your hands are tied behind your back, the cloth loose. Sighing in relief, you play with the cloth, hoping it would come off. After a few minutes of fumbling blindly, your hands are free, and you could finally push yourself up. Dragging the chains, you lower your head down to your knees, exhausted by the strenuous effort you just exerted.
Where am I? You ask yourself. What happened?
No, okay, calm down. Let's not think irrationally. Okay, what do I remember?
"I was on a train with Hisoka, where he made me sit near the window, and asked, or ordered, me to bring down the blinds," you mutter, clenching and unclenching your fists to calm yourself down. It had become a habit you got ever since you were reunited with the magician. "Then I.. why don't I remember anything..?"
You sigh in frustration and rub your temples. It stung.
"What..?" You mutter aloud and touched your right temple once more. It really stung. Feeling around, you could feel a scalding pain on the back of your neck and the majority of your legs. You sit still.
This sensation.. you thought. ..it's familiar.
"It hurts, doesn't it?" A voice you knew, and can never get over, echoed. "Sorry, I overdid it. Your skin looks pretty bad. Well, it doesn't matter. Not anymore, at least. There's nobody who can ever set their eyes on you at this point, but me and a few.. extras."
The lights suddenly turned on, making you squint. You look around to see blank white walls and tiled floor, and Chrollo Lucifer on the second storey of the room, overlooking you through the small balcony. You look down on your legs. Burnt. Your wrists were covered in weird tattoos. You were very confused.
And unbelievably frightened.
"I love that look on your face. It takes me back to the good times. Before that clown scum took you away." Chrollo chuckled darkly. "He isn't a problem anymore, so that's good."
"What.. what did you do to him!?" You demanded answers. Chrollo only clicked his tongue. "Where's Hisoka!?"
"Well," Chrollo jumped from the balcony, and landed safely near your feet. "I don't know. Back to where he belongs, I suppose."
He sat down beside you, grabbing your wrist.
"Wondering what these are? They nullify your Nen. You can't heal, escape, or anything." Chrollo's eyes darkened in nature. "You're mine, and mine alone. Nobody can save you now."
As much as you want to disagree, you couldn't.
Because you were afraid.
Afraid that he was right.
