Chapter 16

We rushed to get into the car, Niall taking the drivers seat. I've never seen him so worried before, I reached over for his hand gripping it to tell him it will be alright. He looked at me and smiled slightly, he hoped it was going to be alright too. We slammed the car doors close and raced towards the hospital.

The lights were brighter inside, as soon as I entered the emergency ward you could hear all of the people worrying, sobbing about their family members. Niall guided me to the help desk. I looked at everyone as the Doctors and Nurses wheeled them through the blue doors a trail of people following. Everyone looked so depressed in the hospital, I never knew how it would feel for someone to think this was the last time they would see their family or friends. I despised it all. Why did hospitals have to always create a depressed mood?

"I'm looking for Maura Gallagher please?" Niall cried.

The woman looked at us.

"Are you family?" She asked, I went to say no but I was to late, Niall answered for us.

"Yes, I'm her son, Niall and this is my sister, Alice." Niall found my hand and I slowly stroked his other fingers to calm him down. The woman nodded.

"Room 3, to the left. If you need anything just shout for help." She smiled at us. Niall pulled me away before I had a chance to say thanks to the woman, he practically sprinted to the room only to find his dad sat next to her.

I didn't know a lot about Niall's family but I know tension when I see it. His father rose and said "I'll leave you to it then." He walked past me without even looking to ask who I was. The door closed and Niall took the seat besides his mother.

His mum lead across the blue bed, her eyes close and hands resting over her stomach. she looked so peaceful lead asleep with Niall next to her. Everything looked perfect for Niall, his huge hand wrapped around Maura's as he stroked her hair to the side with the other one.

I decided to sit in the corner, not wanting to distract the two's company. He started humming a tune alone to her whiles he comforted her. I watched at how caring it all looked, I realized that things changed since I met him, he just became more down to earth since the whole One direction thing. I still never found out what actually happened to them? That was my next step.

We spend a while sat in the room, as soon as Niall's mum fell asleep we decided to leave, by now it was about 12:30pm. We took our jackets and found ourselves back in the same seats as earlier. He looked a lot happier now, I guessed it was because he has seen his mother and knew it would be at least a little bit reassuring.

"Niall?" I asked quietly. I was really desperate to know what happened to the band and I guessed now could of been the best time to ask.

He turned the car around, heading back to the apartment. "Yeah princess?"

I looked at his happy face, I never knew if it would be okay to ask or not, I mean it wasn't in the news so they could of stopped the people knowing. I looked at him driving the car. I knew how much it ment to him the whole band thing and he looked too happy, what if he didn't want anything to happen and i guess i had that wave of nerves that told me not to ask?.

"Don't worry, it's okay." I smiled at him, a fake smile. He looked at me and just shrugged it off.

Authors note: Hello, I'm so sorry guys i've had so much going on recently and my tablet totally broke so it was so hard to catch up on all the work i had on there(especially for school) I promise i'll uipdate ever two weeks now, every monday night hopefully. I know this probably isn't even one whole page but I was free and i just rushed most of this down. I'm really sorry guys! :( And also I'm thinking of changing my caver again, so if anyone would want to do a cover and send me it then I would be so thankful. Why do you think they boys might of broke up? I'm still not too sure why yet so any ideas you have, I could use them?-yet again it would all be copy rights of you and I'd dedicate the chapter to you .

What do you think about Nalice?(I guess that's their ship?)
