Laurance's POV

The Shadow Knight war is finally over so now we can call everyone back from hiding on our island village to come back to the settlement! Aphmau and I have been working all day planning a celebration for tonight! We decided that after all the chaos everyone needs a party. I'm waiting at the portal with everyone else that stayed to fight. Lucinda is reconstructing it and she's almost done. " Just one more ingredient. " she tells us. " And... There! " she peeps as the portal glows a gold light. Donna and Kiki walk through the portal first they are greeted by everyone and then the next two come through. It's Kawaii~Chan and Emmalyn, the same as Donna and Kiki they are greeted. Then Zoey and the children. Parents hug their young ones and Aph, Malachi and Levin hug Zoey. Last its Cadenza, when she walks through the portal I run up ahead of everyone and hug her tight. Soft tears roll down her face as she hugs me tight smiling super bright. " Laurance are you okay? " she whispers in my ear. " Yes, I'm fine. " I whisper back. She lets go of me and goes to greet everyone else.

I go back to my " house " I'm borrowing Aphs Guest room again since the guard tower was used for storing valuable items like food, weapons or items that mean a lot to the villagers. Dante rooms with me. When I get in I see Vylad. " Hey " he waves. " Hey Vylad? What are you doing here? " I ask " Aphmau told me to get you and say she wants us to give a speech in our shadow knight forms saying how we aren't going to hurt them. Because, Laurance today there was only two villagers that weren't scared of us when they got back Cadenza and Kiki. Everyone else was terrified to see us so we need to show them we're on their side. " I nod and follow him to my room to practice.

I'm waiting backstage for Cadenza she's going to be " styling " me as she calls it. She's basically just doing my hair. Vylads sitting next to me, I look at his hair as Cadenza brushes every strand slowly. Normally we would get Emmalyn to do hair but like all the others she was scared of me and Vylad. " Perfect " Cadenza pipes. " Your looking amazing! Now for my dear brother, shall we try orange? " she smirks playfully.
" Never. Again. " I say giggling. She smiles sweetly, " Laurence... Why are you sweating you don't have to be nervous, " she crouches and looks at me " It's ok relax if their truly your friends they'll understand. Just stay calm. " I smile at her. " There's that handsome smile I know! Now come on let's get you styled! " she grabs a brush and straightens out my hair then she grabs some gel puts it in place and tells me to stand next to Vylad.

I walk over to find Vylad leaning against the wall he looks worried. " Hey... Vylad you okay? " I ask.  He looks up at me " Huh? Oh ya um... I'm f-fine " he wipes away some tears. " Vylad don't lie to me what's wrong? " he stares at the ground, closes his eyes then looks up at me. " I'm lonely. Ever since Garroth and Zane got trapped, we still haven't found a way to get them out, Garroth isn't here for me. Katelyn... Well she... She won't even look at me ever since I told her I was a shadow knight, and Cadenza has been trying to cheer me up and so has Kiki but I still feel alone. " he tears up again.
" Vylad I am and always will be here for you I know you've went through the the same thing I did and I'm here if you need anything at all just ask. " he smiles " T-thank you Laurence that means a lot. " I hug him and we go on stage.

" Hello Phoenix Drop, I am Laurence and this is Vylad. You know we are Shadow Knights and that frightens most of you. But we are here with you on your side I would never ever try to hurt one of you and neither would Vylad. If you trust us enough we would like to continue the rest of this in our Shadow Knight forms. " I say. The audience is silent Cadenza stands up on her seat and yells " I trust you. " followed by Kiki and Aphmau then slowly everyone does it until the whole village is standing on their chairs.

We transform and Vylad looks at me I nod. " Hello, I am Vylad if any of you didn't know  I haven't been with you for long so many of you don't trust me and being a shadow knight doesn't help at all but I'm Garroths younger brother from O'khasis I ---- " he all the sudden stops and stares at the balcony. I follow his gaze and see a Meif'wa I know all to well I stare at her my eyes empty everyone looking at her her long silky purple hair bouncing as she walks toward the stage when she's at the stairs I go in front of Vylad and draw my sword Vylad does the same as I stare into her huge green eyes and whisper the rotten name " Michi... "
