Chapter 4: Forbidden love

Jess! He was the one who said it? I can't believe it! He likes me? Wow..... I never thought of it that way."Well, gotta go. I have to get a drink of water." Jess said as I heard him heading my way.Panicking, I quickly ran into the bathroom and hid in one of the stalls.

I could hear the water fountain go into action and I heard Jess taking a drink.

It seemed like it took him forever to finish,but eventually he stopped.I heard his footsteps die out and I let out a big sigh of relieve.

I slowly opened the stall door and there was a man standing in front of me in shock,and I was as well."WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THE GIRLS BATHROOM!" I shouted at him,loud enough to make him jump.

"What are you talking about." he said calmly,still shocked."This is the boys bathroom." he said,almost bursting with laughter.Oh crap. I sprinted out of there and quickly ran into the art room,and in just enough time for the teacher not knowing that I've even went to get a drink of water.

I grabbed the note on her desk and threw it into the trash can from a very far distance and I started to dance around the room.

I suddenly heard a high pitched voice saying,"What are you doing Ms.Hailey!"I jumped up in fright and I accidentally knocked over a blank canvas on the ground and it broke in half..... well that's the end of my happy moment.

"I'm sorry Ms.Rachel." I said. "I was.......just.....um.....so happy to start art again." I said,hoping that she would buy it."Well don't do that," she said looking over to the broken canvas,"Again!" she said sternly.

As I walked out of the classroom, Jess came up to me and stopped me.

"Hey Hailey." he said to me and did a small smile."Hey." I said almost in a hush. "I was wondering if I could ask you something." he said.

Oh god! I think he's about to say it. Keep calm keep calm......

"Yea?" I said smiling."Well I was wondering if-" he was suddenly cut off as the art teacher came up to both of us."I think you both should go to class,because this period is almost over." Ms.Rachel said as she looked at both of us.

"I'll tell you later." He said as we both headed back to our classes.After school,the school bus was almost, but not ready so I sat down on the curb,in the hot sun."Hey." said Jess as he came and plopped himself right besides me.

"Hey." I said in reply,looking at him.

"So you said you wanted to tell me something near the art room,right?" I asked,seeing it he would remember."Right,right." he said turning toward me,looking into my eyes with his icy blue colored eyes,and it made my heart melt.

He blew some of his lushes brown hair out of his face and started to speak.

"So I was wondering...." he said looking down at his feet."Yes?" I said softly. I wanted to just yell at him and say,YES I will go out with you! If he was even going to say that,because I might have the slightest crush on him too.

"I was wondering if you would like to be my girlfriend?" he said holding his breath."Of course!" I said as I gave him a big hug and he hugged me back.And right on cue, the bus pulled into view,and we smiled.

When we got in and took our seat,I asked Jess a question."Yes?" he said. "Do you know that now that were together, when we do something together,it will be like old times,only better!" I said.

"Definitely." he said as the bus pulled out of the driveway.When the bus came to our stop, I ran all the way home smiling,and I jumped into my bed.I hugged my pillow and took out my phone. I looked in my contacts, and clicked Niya's and it was dialing.

"Hello?" I heard a voice on the line say.

"Hey! It's Hailey!" I said smiling.

"Hey! How's it going? You doing well in school? And how did-" "Whoa whoa whoa!" I said with a chuckle. "I have some good news to tell you before you squeeze out all of my answers out of me." I said as I took a deep breath.

"I'm all in." I heard her say on the other end. "So the good news is....... Jess and I are going out!" I screamed into the phone.We both started screaming in the phone and I jumped on my bed and landed on my face,and luckily my pillow saved my face,and it was very soft.

"Hailey! Dinner time!" I heard my Aunt call out to me from downstairs.

"Sorry Niya,but I have to go eat dinner.

I'll still give you the details." I said as I ended the call.After dinner I went to my bed and I was so tired. I went to my bed and fell asleep right as I hit my pillow.

The next day,when I arrived at school,everyone was looking at me,and I didn't know why.Jess came up to me all of a sudden and he looked a little mad."Hey Jess." I said to him,but he was clearly not listening to me.

"Why did you tell everyone!" he said pacing in front of me going back and forth,back and forth on the tile floors.

"What are you talking about?" I said.

Jess came and looked up at me and looked me straight into my eyes.

"Everyone knows that were dating,even the teachers!" he said. "What! I said as we headed to the classroom."Hailey,please report to the art room." The announcer said. Yipee! "Ill have to talk to you later." I said as I started to run the opposite direction to the art room.

After school,I got on the bus with Jess and we didn't speak the whole way,and we didn't even say goodbye when we got off and headed our different ways.

As I walked in,i was met by the stern

voice of my Aunt in the kitchen.

"Do you have something to say for yourself young lady?" she said as I walked foreword to her."What are you talking about?" I said as I put my stuff down."About dating Jess." she said. "How did you-" I started but my aunt cut me off.

"Whatever is started between you two both is crazy and we have both made a decision......." My Aunt and Uncle said.

"You can definitely not date,and you cannot see him ever......"
