His Obsession.

Part 2

Here is the next part and I am really enjoying working on this short story. I am going to try to be more consistent with my uploading but I am in school so that is priority.

It was late at night and once again Laura was having a sleepless night. Her finger ran over the notches that she made in the bed post. 1,2...6...10. Ten days. Ten long days she has been here in this hell hole and she prayed and hoped that everyone she loved was looking for her. She hoped she was all over Facebook and Twitter and Tumblr everyone would know who she was, they knew her face and someone who stumble upon this cabin in the woods and find her and help her. They will take her away from the man named Sean, who was 21. That is all she knew about Sean and nor did she want to know any more about the creep who took her away from her happy life. She heard the crickets in the night and she listened to the peaceful chirping and somehow she went to sleep to that symphony. When she awoke those green eyes that belonged to Sean was staring straight at her.

"Get away!" She meant for it to come out as ferocious roar like a lion, but instead came out in a soft whisper. She grabbed the sheet to cover the part of her body that was showing.

"Darling you do this all the time, you will eventually realize you are not going anywhere that this is your new home and it is best you give in." He said sitting on the side of the bed as she moved away from him.

"Never! I will be found and you will go to jail for the rest of your life."

"We are in the middle of nowhere sweetheart no one is going to find you."

"Nowhere is the middle of nowhere. Everywhere is somewhere."

"You are just too smart." He said with a shake of his head.

"Do not let the blonde hair fool you." She said with a growl in her voice. He got up from the bed.

"Darling it is just you and me right now so get used to me."

"I rather not!"

"Have it your way but you will see it will be easier to give in then rather fight me every day." She rolled her eyes as he started to walk out. Once he left the room like always Laura would cry into her pillow wishing this was just some horrible dream.

"Why me?" Laura asked in a whisper as she sat on a stool in front of Sean as he worked along the kitchen as much as Laura hated to be anywhere near him she thought if she spent just a little time with him he would slip up then she could make her escape or come up with some plan.

"Huh? Did you say something?" He asked as he turned around to face her.

"Yeah, I asked why me? Why did you choose to stalk me, and kidnap me, what made me so appealing to you?" She said with a raised tone.

"Isn't it quite obvious my darling?" Laura shivered when he said darling but covered it up well just like all the other times he makes her shiver and not in a good way. "Well your beauty for one, you are absolutely stunning and it definitely helps that you are smart, funny, and a bit sassy but I love my girls with a little sass." He winked at her sending another shiver down my back.

"Okay? But there are plenty of girls like that so how did I become your target."

"Darling, do not use words like target and victim you are not some prisoner here."

"It feels like a prison." Laura whispered as she rolled her eyes.

"Besides darling I brought you here to be with me."

"I have a boyfriend!" Laura raised her voice.

"Who does not know how to treat you well enough, I can." Sean snapped back.

"He treats me perfectly fine."

"Oh yeah then why in the hell did he leave you outside of a restaurant for 2 and half hours in the cold may I add." Laura's eyes widened like a deer in headlights remembering that night almost a year ago.

"He was busy." She said which came out in a whisper.

"Sure busy, yeah busy fucking some other girl!" Laura looked at him and glared hard at him.

"You do not know shit; he would never cheat on me."

"That is what you think darling."

"Stop calling me darling!" Laura finally snapped. "Just because you know my grades, my friends and my life does not mean you know me, you know the physical parts of my life but you do not know the emotional part! Because you do not feel emotions! You are a heartless monster, who took me away from everyone and everything I love! Do not dare stand there thinking you know me or my boyfriend or shit because you f-" Laura squealed when Sean pushed her up against the wall.

"What the hell were you saying you want to continue that?" He said through his clenched teeth as he pushed his hand against her arm. She whimpered in pain.

"Sean..stop you're hurting me." She said as she whimpered again from the pressure he was putting on her arm.

"Understand one thing Laura, you may be a smart ass but watch your words very carefully with me because anything you throw back at me I will throw back at you. Got it! And by the way if you ever, I mean ever talk to me the way you just had you will get it a lot worse than just a little pressure on my arm. You have no idea what I am capable of." Laura looked straight in Sean's eyes his eyes that were once green almost looked black now they had darkened and his thick eyebrows scrunched together. Laura's mouth was dry and she just nodded to agree. "Good girl." He said as he got off of her.

"I-I am just going to go to the bathroom." She said still in shock from what just happened.

"Hurry up; dinner shall be done soon." Laura nodded her head once more before bolting to the bathroom she sat against the locked door and replayed through the scene in the kitchen moments ago. Laura realized one moment he is nice then he gets all angry and his eyes she has never seen a person's eyes get so dark. She shook her head trying to calm herself from the shock before heading back downstairs. Laura knew she had to be on guard with Sean now or she could end up never getting home.
