sorry for the delay..just school.
It was close to 5 am and Sean woke up at his usual time. He placed his feet onto the wooden floor and got up from the bed. He stretched his arms above his head as he let out a big yawn. He looked over at the window on the other side of the bedroom, he made his way towards it as he pushed back the curtains he could see the sky was becoming lighter as the sun was starting to peek out. He stepped away from the window and changed into a pair of jeans and white tee. While walking out of the cabin the sun was rising up even more as he zipped up the zipper of his black hoodie. He started to walk away from the cabin where Laura was sleeping; making his way to place he had not been to in a very long time a flashback started to run through his mind.
“I NEED MORE BEER!” He heard screaming from downstairs as a beer bottle crashed against the wall. The shattering of the glass made eight year old Sean flinch.
“THEN GO GET IT YOURSELF! I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO GO AND BUY YOU MORE ALCOHOL!” He heard his mother yell at the drunken man also known as Sean’s father.
“WELL YOU ARE MY WIFE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO DO WHAT I SAY!”
“I AM YOUR WIFE NOT A SERVENT AND WHY SHOULD I? IT IS NOT LIKE YOU DO ANYTHING I SAY! ALL YOU DO IS SIT AROUND ON YOUR FAT ASS AND DRINK BEER AND WATCH SPORT GAMES ALL DAY!” She screamed at him. “I AM THE ONE WHO WORKS FROM 7 TO 5 EVERYDAY, I AM THE ONE WHO FUCKING COOKS AND CLEANS AND PUTS FOOD IN OUR MOUTHS AND OH I AM THE FUCKING ONE WHO TAKES CARE OF OUR EIGHT YEAR OLD SON!” She screamed again and Sean’s ears perked up hearing the mention of him.
“HOW FUCKING DARE YOU SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT!” Sean’s father got up from his recliner chair and stumbled as he got up. He wobbled over to his wife and slapped her hard across the face. Sean buried his head into his knees and covered his ears with his hands to block out the rest of the sounds coming from down below.
“You asshole.” Sean muttered under his mouth as he reached the place he wanted to it was not anything special but an old tree but attached to one of the branches was a swing. He sat onto the swing gently kicked his feet into the air. The swing started to moved back and forth; as he swung another flashback came to his mind.
“Mom can I-“
“Ugh! Sean just go away I have stuff to do.” Sean watched his mom place a cigarette into her mouth and lights it up and soon takes it out of her mouth letting a small puff of smoke escape her mouth.
“But mom-“
“SEAN JUST GO THE FUCK AWAY! JEEZ!” 15 year old Sean walked away but not before hearing his mother mutter something underneath her breath. “I should have given you up when I had a chance.”
“You were a bitch!” Sean muttered as the flashback ended. His parents only cared for him up until the age of seven and that is when life was good. They would bring him to this very cabin. His father and him would take the boat out and go fishing well Sean would watch his father fish while asking him a million questions his father would answer every single one. When they returned his mother would have a hot meal waiting for them they would sit around the fire after dinner Sean would play with his toys, his mother would read a book and his father would just sit in the couch tired from the day. It was good but all that changed when Sean was seven and his father lost his job. Then he just got depressed when he could not find another one then slowly just stopped caring. After facing abuse from his for almost five years his mother finally left him along with Sean. At the age of eleven Sean’s mother stopped caring for Sean she only felt him as a burden since she could not go out to a bar and drink or have sex or hook ups with random men. She had to work and buy groceries and take Sean to school. She started to regret him day by day. The second Sean turned 18 and he graduated high school. He packed the few things he actually cared about and left the house not looking back for a moment. Three years later neither of his parents ever contacted him nor even looked for him and neither had he. Sean stopped the swing by placing the back of his feet along the dirt. He looked up seeing the sun shining brightly in the sky. He got off the swing and headed back towards the cabin to Laura.
