A week later, Hugo's family came to see Sofia's family. Ruby and Jade were at the castle too. They were all outside in Sofia's ice rink.
Sofia and Hugo were happily ice-dancing together. Ruby and Jade happily watched them ice-dance.
"We never should've worried, Ruby," Jade giggled.
"You're right, Jade," Ruby agreed. "It's about time we let Sofia do her own thing. That prince needs her more than we do, but there's a good chance she may come back to us."
Jade, Ruby, and Hugo loved Sofia more than anyone, and the good times have just started for all four of them.

Ruby and Jade learned a very important lesson: it can be hard to let an old friend be friends with someone else, but it was important to see why they enjoy being friends in the first place. Jade and Ruby knew that Hugo needed Sofia more than they do, but Sofia will come back to them someday.
