After the party had died down a bit, Ethan and Grayson went back to talking to Jack. It was fun while it lasted I guess.
"Harper and Abby, where have you two been all night?" Kasey played dumb with us.
"Tonight was... Probably the best night of my life." I sat down at our table.
I drained the rest of their conversation out, being as tired as I am. I checked the time to see it was already 12:00
"Guys sorry to interrupt, but Abby and I need our beauty rest for tomorrow." I raised my eyebrows.
"Oh, of course." Christina said sarcastically, earning a chuckle from the group.
After we were all done saying our goodbyes, everyone had basically left.
I got into the car and enjoyed the ride home with Abby.
I thought about how Ethan was without a doubt the chillest guy I've ever met, and how Grayson was really sweet, but didn't quite know how to express it yet.
Once we reached my house I snapped out of my daze and made my way inside.
I changed out of my suit and into some spandex from volleyball and a lose t-shirt, and threw my hair into a messy bun.
I did my night routine in the bathroom to finish up, and met Abby in my bedroom, who was already ready for bed.
I got settled into the covers and replayed moments from the night over and over, especially from when I first introduced myself to Ethan.
I was just about to drift off when I heard a loud crash come from downstairs. Great. Jacks home.
Since he probably wasn't going to clean up his mess I made my way downstairs since I knew if I didn't we would both be in trouble.
As I descended down the stairwell I heard Jack's voice, and a couple other voices. Awesome, Jack and friends.
I mentally rolled my eyes and stepped onto the cool wood floor, careful not to step on any glass.
My head snapped to the kitchen where I saw what had happened.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to." I saw Grayson awkwardly standing in the corner of the kitchen. He looked down at his feet and his eyes trailed to the glass.
"It's fine Grayson. You're just lucky it's not my brother who did that." I chuckled, earning some nervous laughter on Gray's part.
"Yeah, he does stuff like that all the time down in LA. It's like I have to keep everything on a high shelf, where he can't reach." Ethan entered the room from around the corner.
"Shut up!" Grayson said, not able to move since the glass was surrounding him.
Ethan just chuckled. "I can help with that you know." He set his drinking glass down on the counter. "Just tell me where the broom and pan is, and the vacuum."
"Thanks! They're all in the closet in front of the door." I told him. He nodded.
I'm extremely surprised all my nervousness isn't getting to me. This all just feels so natural.
Ethan came back, broom and pan in hand. I got out of his way and went go get the vacuum.
When I came back all the large pieces of glass where gone, but Grayson was still in the corner. I gave him a confused look.
"Better safe than sorry, right?" He responded.
"I guess so bud." Ethan said.
I laughed at the two and began the vacuum.
