My name is Louis, and basically, I'm in a gang. I'd like to say (or at least believe myself) that we weren't that bad; stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, but I knew the truth. I'm ashamed to admit I've even resulted in murder multiple times when a mission has gone wrong.
For the longest while the crimes I committed weren't wrong in my eyes though. The things I'd done were things I've been raised and taught to do all my life.
I was orphaned when I was young because my parents didn't want me. The first mistake in my life; me being born. They sent me to an orphanage but I ran away when I was 8. I lived on the streets; hid in alley ways and ate from garbage cans. It wasn't until I was ten when someone took me in.
His name was Robert and he was the leader of our gang. He raised me as his own son and taught me everything I know. He believed that people like us who were neglected, poor, and underestimated were treated unfairly compared to other citizens. He told me of how there were people who sat on thrones and were surrounded by gold watching the rest of the world barely scrape by.
So he gathered a group of misfits (as I believed we were) and we formed a team. Together, we became some of the most wanted people in the world. To some, we were saints, to others; criminals. We became like Robin Hood, taking money from the rich to give to those who truly needed it.
I became very skilled at what we did because I never stopped working hard. All I ever wanted to do was make Robert proud, because frankly, I was so used to upsetting everybody else besides my team.
My team consisted of 8 people. There was Robert of course; the leader and the man who brought me up. Next there was me, and honestly, I guess you could say I was the star of the team, gaining the most successful results. There was a guy named Zayn next, he was the shy one who gave off that bad boy vibe when in reality he was the sweetest dude you could meet. Troye was like a brother to me and honestly he was the brains behind everything. There were twins named Isabella and Raina who were the youngest on our team and were only thirteen. I was probably closest to Jaela, she was practically my sister and the most skilled person at combat I've ever met. Finally, there was Abigail. Abigail was my girlfriend, the girlfriend everyone wanted me to have, but not necessarily the one I wanted. Don't get me wrong she's a great girl...just not right for me.
Overall, nothing seemed wrong about what we were doing. Besides a few minor aspects for me, life was perfect, but as most stories go, that doesn't last. A new girl entered the picture; a girl completely wrong for me and I fell in love with her anyway.
That was when the real mistake was made.
