And for the first time in weeks . . .
She screamed.
-☆-♡-☆-
Cold.
Hurt.
Forgotten.
Lost.
What a terribly pallid world this is. How grey and dull it has become.
That's what she saw. That's what she thought.
.
.
.
"(Y/N)." and so she stood, for that was her name. No words, for she had forgotten to speak.
I wonder how Ciel is, she wondered as her legs began to move. One foot in front of the other. He should be turning eighteen soon.
Or was it nineteen? She couldn't remember. How long had it been? Navy blue eyes and dark cerulean hair. Her hand brushed against the wall.
"Finally beginning to crack?" asked the master. She flinched. Her eyes flickered for a moment and she stood properly. She shook her head, tresses of (h/c) swaying.
"Eat something for once, you're too skinny."
Every day routine. She clenched her fists. Maybe today.
Maybe today would be the day.
Or maybe today would not be the day.
Arms snaked around her waist, dragging her into a bone-cold embrace. She dug her nails into her palm. To stop the tears. Kisses fluttered up her collarbone, hands cradling her head gently.
The kisses fluttered downwards.
He planted his lips onto her thigh. Then stopped. He looked up at her, now on his knees. Smirked.
"Go on, dearest." he gestured to the door. "We'll finish later."
We'll.
We.
What a joke. She let her hands relax and walked out the doorway. Security guards were placed in each and every corridor. She ran to her room, a lavish suite with a canopy bed and pastel curtains drooping elegantly. Fit for a princess. Not her.
The window was shut, but bramble bushes awaited her on the ground if she were to fall. (Y/N) tugged on the curtains a bit, sitting in the bay window. Opened the window. And like every other day, she would close her eyes and imagine a warm sun shining on her and a beautiful blue sky smiling down at her. And Ciel. She couldn't see any of those things here. A fake sky mocked her from out the window. Ciel was somewhere, anywhere but here.
"Run."
A breath escaped her lips. Run.
But it was not her voice. Rather, a warm voice. It stung her ears and her heart, but she could not seem to place it. "Run away," it said again, sounding pained. "Please." Green eyes flashed through her head. Her heart stung some more and her eyes squeezed shut.
She screamed, loudly. The doors opened and a man rushed in. A guard.
"Come back!" The voice cried, resonating within her eardrums. Suddenly it was all a blur in heavy darkness and I'd swirled back into existence. I am (Y/N). I was unconscious. I had been this entire time. For how long, though? Two years? Three?
A bright hospital light burned my closed eyes and I stayed still. I tried to clench my fist or bunch up my lips as if I'd tasted something sour. I couldn't move. Air was forced into my lungs. My stomach felt empty-- but it didn't hurt.
Questions rushed through my head in a dizzying spin of why's and what if's.
My eyes still could not open.
I tried. My limbs felt as heavy as lead, my eyes were glued shut. I was afraid to become blind if I opened them.
I was losing consciousness again...
"Achoo!"
My nose scrunched up and my eyes shot open. Heavy jagged breath came from my chapped lips and I ran my tongue over them. My fingers wrapped around a cold little object. I wanted to look down. My arm wouldn't work. Instead, I squeezed harder and forced myself up. I couldn't feel my legs.
My hand opened. A dark blue ring smiled up at me and brought me near tears. A sob caught in my throat.
I stumbled off the bed and onto the floor, detaching a couple tubes. One of those contraptions that helped me to breathe was there, and my lungs nearly collapsed after it snapped off.
I stumbled some more and found a mirror. I was skinny-- my frame looked and felt weak. My hair had grown much too long and reached my upper thigh. I could've sat on it.
Couldn't say anything. Of course. But at least I was here.
Now if only I could find a way to the Phantomhive manor.
