Melanie P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of a car blowing their horn. My head hurts, I barely got any sleep last night, I tried to stay awake as hard as I could. I was creeped out by my surroundings and was afraid that someone might do something while I was sleeping. I look in the side mirror seeing a black honda that was trap behind me. I start my engine and started to drive.

I parked at a 7eleven and went inside. It was ten in the morning and I had work at eleven today. I went inside the bathroom, which looks like it haven't been cleaned in months. A shiver went down my spine as I locked the door, I opened my bag and took out my toothbrush and toothpaste. I brush my teeth and wash my face, armpit, then put on deodorant and changed to my work clothes.

I arrive to work fifteen minutes early. I sat in the lobby listening to music and when it was time I clocked in. I saw Michelle coming my way "hey girl whats up" I smiled at her. She had this look on her face but I couldn't quite figure it out.
"Where were you last night?" she asked
"I was home why" I said keeping busy because I cant look someone in the eye and lie.
" cause I called like twice seeing if you wanted to hang out" she said
" umm really, I must've not seeing your call sorry maybe next time" I said shrugging.
"How bout tonight I get off at 7, we could have like a sleep over" she said excited.
"We too grown for a sleep over" I said laughing at how excited she was. She's the type of person who's always positive, she makes the best of out of everything she so cheerful. Talking to her makes me forget bout my life for a brief moment.
"Girl you never too old for a sleep over, imma tell you this right now, I'm not taking a no for an answer so just say yes so we can skip over the whole argument thing, here's my address" she wrote it down on a napkin.
"Fine I'll be there by nine, now go to work before you get in trouble" I said shooing her away. I didn't really wanna go but at least tonight I'm gonna sleep under roof so that's good.

Michelle P.O.V
It was around 8:30 when my doorbell rang, I was on the couch playing with my daughter Nevaeh I didn't expect anyone except for Melanie but not for another thirty minutes. I opened the door to see Nate " hey" I said hugging him. He hugged me really tight which I love, I can't get enough of his hugs. We hugged a little longer than normal, then he pulled away " what you doing here" I asked.
" I can't come see the two most precious ladies in my life" he asked raising an eyebrow. "I guess I cant say anything against that" I said blushing a little. " now where is my princess" he ask.
" right here daddy" Nevaeh ran up to him opening her small little arms so he could pick her up. I look at them smiling from ear to ear goofing around and laughing.

Nate is such a good father, he loves Nevaeh so much and would do anything for her, he is so protective of her. Even though we're not together I love spending time with him and acting like a family. Sometimes he would come over on sundays and I would cook dinner for the three of us, I want us to be more than just parents but I don't know if that's what he wants. When Nevaeh was on the way I talked to him about it but he didn't want to be in a relationship at the time and I hate getting rejected so I never had the courage to bring the subject up again.
"earth to Michelle, hello?" I saw Nate waving his hand in front of me.
"Huh?" I said rubbing my eyes.
"Nothing I'll go get it" he said walking to the door and opening it, I saw Melanie standing in front of him.
" hello, hi I'm Nathaniel you can call me Nathan" he said stretching his hand out. That's weird normally Nate don't associate with my friends, If he's at the house and any of them come over he'll just say hello and be on his way out. He's over here introducing himself to her, I don't like it one bit.
"I'm Melanie" she said shaking his hand.
" That's a pretty name" he said.
"Thank you, um where is Michelle?" she asks confused.
" Oh yeah Michelle sorry" he stepped aside and let her in. Did he just forget about me in my own house? Oh hell nah he gotta go. "Umm Nate its time to leave" I said crossing my arms.
" I can't stay longer?" he ask
"No, bye this is a girls night" I said rolling my eyes.
" Fine I'm going" he says "Princess give daddy a hug" she hugged him and said "bye daddy love you"
" love you too princess" he said kissing her forehead. I usually get a kiss too but this time he just waved at Melanie and said bye and left. That hurts a bit but I tried not to think about it too much.

I don't know what just happened but hopefully nothing serious. Melanie and I hit it off really good and I'd hate for this to be the end of our friendship.
