Like I said, I'll be posting my current task and the one I completed back in 2014. The dedications will be at the beginning of the chapter. Today's dedication is CAKersey because he is the only person I consistently talk to who is/was (sad face) active on Wattpad.
TOP FIVE CHARACTERS ON WATTPAD
I have been competing in Games for a while. But there are a few stand-out characters I've written in those Games, which I will now list. Following that will be my Five Favourite Characters in my own books. Unfortunately I have a bad memory when it comes to other people's characters, and I also don't read much of other's works, so there won't be any of that. Without further ado, my five favourite characters.
PART ONE
Honourable Mentions: Miriam Rowen (The Last Cannon); Andromeda Meredithia (All is Fair in Love and War); Evora, Daughter of Antimony (Measure of a Mage); Barnabas Wraight (Coven); Eden Cartwrile (Faction Wattpad).
5. Hettie Burris, CAKersey 's Family Ties
Hettie is bae. She was chosen by her family to go into the Games because she was the only one that would not cause severe damage to the family, which is horrible as it is. I made an entire family lineage for her and she developed a strong alliance with the youngest (or near youngest) member of the games, Dove. Also then Carl had a family member join them, and her sister joined Hettie, and I'm still giggling at the amount of torment I put them through. A miscarriage, and then Hettie found out her husband died trying to set up money for their children, and then her sister gave up her life, and just, a great character. She came second and got the Iceberg award. The reason she's fifth is while I adore her character, I simply don't feel that much connection at this moment, but in general any of the top five can be switched around (except for number one) and I would still be okay with it.
4. Atlas Aurelius, CAKersey's Elysium
This may come as a surprise, considering I only made it to Quarters, and when I was narrowing it down, it came as a surprise to me. However, he was without a doubt the most interesting character I've written. I have written several boys who have had thick accents in writing before, (one in Secrets and two in Carl's previous Games), but nothing compares to writing in attempted prose. I'm still a huge fan of his beginning entry, and I even used it as part of a final task for my history class and got perfect on it, so there's that. I struggled with how to develop his character, but I generally found the beginning tasks to be some of my most interesting.
3. Kiefer Elwood, katniss-everdeen's Secrets
The only victor in this list, he had to be included not only because he is one of my few males, but also because I finally learned how to do description with him. I received the Dark Horse award, and for once I don't think I was brutally targeted for the first time in a while. I also got the Thank You Award, which was nice too. Kiefer's plotline was one of the most detailed I've yet made, and he was a generally nice and easy character to write and develop.
2. Constantina Drăculeşti, HeadOnJackwards's Underworld
Back when Jack was first making Games and I hadn't sold my soul to participate in them, I joined this. Another finalist, the Games were based around clans of vampires and werewolves, and Constantina was part of the aristocratic family. She ended up being a finalist, and getting the Iceberg award (woah, there seems to be a pattern), and she was overall a character that was wholly enjoyable to write. Her entries I feel were the beginning of something great, and her plot development really embedded her in my mind. Or maybe it's just the atmosphere I remember about her. Either way, she's always been an underrated character for me. She isn't even on my favourite character's list on my profile, but I remember the finals task vividly as well as her father's task, which is why I think she's sticking out to me. Any character whose atmosphere and imagery I can remember will be one of my favourites.
