"Hey sorry for bothering you, is this Kim?" a low male voice spoke through the phone. This isn't Katlynne my mind stated the obvious.

"Uh, yeah it is, why do you have my best friends phone?" I tired to soften my tone from how I spoke the first time.

"Your friend has been in a car crash, a pretty bad one..." I dropped the phone from my hands and covered my mouth so I couldn't cry. Louis walked over and his eyes went wide when he saw my watering ones. He continued to stare at me and I mouthed to him that Katlynne was in a car accident. he quickly stepped back and picked up the phone on the floor and put it up to his ear.

"Hi sorry, she's in shock, I'm one of her friends where can we find her?"

He spoke into the phone but his eyes stayed on me. he spoke the occasional uh huh, or ok before thanking the man and hanging up.

He got ahold of my hand and kissed my knuckles then looked at me intensely.

"She's at the hospital by the airport. it shouldn't take that long if we avoid traffic." he announced, keeping my hand warm in his.

All I could do is nod. he took that as a cue and guided me back down to the elevators. I let him drag me inside and he pulled me into his arms as soon a we were alone.

"She's going to be okay." he reassured and kissed my forehead.

"Yeah but what if she's not? the guy said that it was pretty bad and what if I lose her? I can't lose her!" I sobbed into his navy blue shirt. He pulled me from his grasp and put his hands on my shoulders to face directly towards him.

"Look at me, she's gunna be okay. she's a bad ass okay? I mean dammit she wears fucking five inch heels everyday as if they're sneakers and she beat three of the strongest models at a arm wrestling competition at the party last week so I'm pretty damn sure she can survive this," he smiled and I tried to copy him but I couldn't.

"I just really need to see she's okay," I admitted and once he elevator bell rang he pulled me outside the doors.

"Where's your car?" he asked

"I don't have one"

'You don't have a car?" he looked at me with disbelief but tried to soften his expressions due to the situation.

"Yeah I never thought I needed a drivers licence or car because Katlynne or somebody always drove me everywhere." The fear if not seeing Katlynne again rose again in my stomach at the mention of her name.

"Well that...kinda makes sense. anyway we can just take mine." He guided me to a black mustang. Of course he has a fucking mustang, I thought. He opened the door for me and stepped inside. it smelt like Louis and it made me smile for the moment.

The smell of latex and medicine filled my senses and my anxiety rose up fast. The fact that my best friend who I have known all my life is somewhere in this building and I'm not with her caused me to began to pace. Louis and I were waiting in a line for someone to help us. Louis noticed my distress.

He cupped his hands around my face. "Hey, hey, hey it's okay. we're almost to her okay? You'll see her in a little bit," I tried to listen to his reassurance but it didn't work. fear overruled my mind. from there everything was a blur until I saw Katlynne. I heard Louis talking to a woman but i couldn't make out what they were saying. soon I was led into a small room with machines,a small curtain dividing the room into two parts an a girl hooked onto to some machine. I earn over to her.

"Katlynne!! Thank God you're alive!! what the hell happened?! what hurts?! how bad is it?!" I rambled ad her eyes shot open.

"Hi," she sleepy smiled. there were cut marks and stitches on her cheek and forehead with busies covering the rest of her face. she rubbed her eyes and winced as she pushed herself up into a sitting position. She gave me a smile that I knew translated into reassuring me she was okay and my heart calmed down a bit.
