The bitter taste of your name on my lips haunts me more than these memories ever will. Because now that I know how little they meant to you, they have lost their original vibrancy, wasting away to gray as ashes in the extinguished pit of a fire. The love that never was has been sucked dry from my lacerated heart, and all the lovely feelings are gone. Bitterness and loneliness now congest the space your mendacious fidelity once occupied, yet I cannot help but to still long for you.
