"When are the kids supposed ta' get here?" Fiddleford smiled as they went to sit in a large living room, lit by the warm light of a fireplace. It gave the room a nice and cozy feeling.

"Oh,they should be here later in the day!" Ford beamed, he was very excited to see his great niece and nephew. He really loved those kids and was incredibly proud of their bravery and intellect.

"Can't wait to see 'em!" Fiddleford smiled brightly and watched as Fords smile faded. "Whats wrong darlin'?" He asked as his knee began to bounce.

"Hmm?...Oh, it's really nothing...I'm just a little nervous about..... seeing the kids again, they care more about Stanley and that's understandable but....nevermind..." Ford began to stand. "I'll finish decorating..." But he was stopped by Fiddleford standing in his path.

"Ford, they love you both, you know that, what's really got you nervous?" The shorter man glared up into Fords shining brown eyes.

"I don't really feel like talking about it right now Fidds." Ford sighed and grabbed a few decorations to hang on the wall. It wasn't Christmas but Fiddleford did always really enjoy over-decorating for every holiday.

"Stanford...please. You know you can talk to me about anythin'...right?" Fiddleford put his hand on Fords back and rubbed in a small circle, trying to calm him down.

"Fiddleford you have to understand that this isn't the best time for this." Ford pleaded to a disappointed Fiddleford who sighed.

"I'm sorry for pushin'...but please tell me when you're ready." Fiddleford kissed Fords hand and walked off to the kitchen.

Ford sighed and continued to decorate. His mind was filled and clouded with thoughts.

"Why today?" He whispered under is breath.

"GRUNKLE FORD!" The thirteen year old kids run into the huge living room and gave their great uncle a huge hug while Stanley walked in after them.

"Haha, hey kids. I sure did miss you two." Ford smiled brightly while hugging his young nibblings. He really loved these kids and honestly, owed a lot to them.

"Look at y'all little ankle biters! Haven't grown a bit!" Fiddleford walked in and stood by Ford whilst chuckling.

"Oh! Hey McGucket!" Dipper smiled as he and his sister stopped hugging their grunkle.

"Please, kids, call me Fiddleford..." He didn't really like being called 'McGucket' or 'Old Man McGucket'. It made him think people still thought little of him.

"OH WAIT" Mabel gasped and jumped up and down. "Can we call you Grunkle Fidds 'cause you're dating Grunkle Ford!?" She was very excited about the romance.

Both Ford and Fiddleford blushed and looked nervously at each other.

"Well...." Fiddleford glanced back up at Ford and entangled their fingers. "I'd be awfully honored." He smiled a wide smile as Mabel squealed.

"Hey, Poindexter, we haven't discussed whether the kids are gonna be sleepin' here or the shack yet." Stan said while leaning on the doorframe. " 'S pretty useful info."

"Right! Fiddleford, what do you think?" Ford smiled and picked Mabel up, letting her sit on his broad shoulders.

"Oh there are plenty of rooms here! Heck! The kiddos can pick their own rooms. I can show them where our room is and then rest of the rooms if ya'd like." Fiddleford adjusted the glasses that sat on his nose.

"That sounds like a great idea Fiddleford." Ford sat Mabel back down. "Sorry sweetie."

Mabel was a little annoyed about being picked up them almost immediately put back done but she got to spend time with her new Grunkle so she really didn't care.

Dipper gasped.

"Can you show us the cool sciencey room you guys do cool stuff in!? Grunkle Ford told us about it in a video chat." Dipper was practically jumping from excitement.

"Hmm... I don't know...that rooms pretty secret." Fiddleford laughed and took Dippers hat off to ruffle his hair, much to the young teens dismay.

"Hey!" Dipper couldn't help but laugh a little as a stole his hat back and put it firmly back on top his head.

"Alright, alright. C'mon kiddos. Let's go pick out your room or rooms." Fiddleford smiled and led the yound twins upstairs.

~

"So, how're you and your sugar daddy doing?" Stan began walking towards the kitchen with Ford following suit.

"He's not my...'sugar daddy' as you so crudely stated." Ford rolled his eyes as he watched his brother rummage through the refrigerator.

"No beer? Really? It's Thanksgiving." Stan groaned and opened a Pitt Cola.

"Neither Fiddleford or I drink, other than the very occasional white whine." Ford smirked.

"Gross." Stan rolled his eyes. "But seriously, how are you two gays doin'?" Stan leaned on the kitchen counter.

"He's bisexual not gay and we're doing fine. Thank you for asking Stanley." You know, being stuck on a boat together for over two months had it's benefits but also kinda made them a little tired of each other.

It was nice that Ford was spending so much time with Fiddleford now but still, Stan kinda missed hanging out with his twin. It's not like he'd admit it or he wasn't happy for Ford. He was.

"Stan..." Ford leaned on the refrigerator. "I'm really nervous."

"Aw what. Bro, you were literally just sayin' you two were fine. What's the matter?" Stan raised an eyebrow and drank out of his Pitt Cola can.

"I know. And I'm pretty sure we are. 93% sure we are, to be exact but still...I have this sinking feeling of uneasiness. Maybe it's from past rejection or just how our relationship ended last time but...what if I'm not good enough for him? What if he only pitys me?" Fords heart picked up pace as he began letting nerves get to him. These thoughts just came out of no where.

"Ford, look, he's "married" both a raccoon and his own beard. He's got low standards." Stan tried to lighten the mood but the glare from Ford made it clear now wasn't the time.

"Sorry...just...I may not know what all happened between you two before but the fact he seems to put so much trust in you definitely makes it seem like he cares 'bout you. I'm not a romantic expert by any means, just ask Dipper but, I can tell you two really got somthin' you shouldn't let go." Stan lightly punched Fords arm with a supportive smile.

"Thank you Stanley." His brothers support meant a lot to him and so did the kids. The fact they all seem to be fine or even happy with the idea of him and Fiddleford being a couple helped his doubts melt away but still, there was someone else he had to gain blessings from,

Tate.
