Cancer (F) x Scorpio (M)
Cancer sat at the table, engrossed in an overwhelmingly bad book that she had to read for school. She chuckled, out loud, as the girl said something funny.
"Did I do that out loud?" She asked herself, but another voice replied.
"Yes, now, can you please be quiet? I'm in a library, trying to read," a male said.
"No, you're the one who needs to shut up. I've been nothing but quiet this whole time," Cancer snapped.
If Scorpio's friends saw him getting ridiculed by a girl, that was probably younger than him, they would've gone insane with laughter.
The girl kept going.
" ... And you should respect people in the library just as much as not. Didn't you ever learn the rule? ... "
He listened (not really) for a little while longer and scoffed.
"Tch, whatever. Look who's talking now?" Scorpio taunted.
"I ... I-I ..." Cancer tried to stay afloat.
"Well, I guess I'll be going now. By the way, what's your name, so I know not to sit anywhere near you again," he barked.
"C-Cancer," she replied, still trying to make a comeback.
Time Skip
'Wow, what a jerk. I wouldn't act like that, even if I was in a bad mood.'
"I wonder what his name was? After all, I told him mine," Cancer asked herself.
She shrugged and walked to her house. Loud crashes cadenced from the kitchen once she was in.
"What's going on?" She muttered.
"Uh oh! Cancer's home!" Aries whisper-yelled to Sagittarius. He stuck his head out from behind the foyer and Aries's head right below his.
Cancer's face was almost as red as her hair. She was fuming.
"We're so SORRY!!!" The other two thirds of the triplets whined like children.
"Clean it UP!" Cancer shouted back, angry as a hornet.
Time Skip (Again)
Cancer was snuggled into her sheets. Aries was snoring and Sagi was saying something like , "No, silly Mr. Bear! You can't eat my intestines ... That's rude! ..." The conversation just went on.
Cancer began to him to herself ...
Hush little darling, don't make a peep.
The monsters are a-comin' and it's your soul they want to keep.
Hush little baby don't you cry.
This is my makeshift lullaby.
The tune went in and out of her head. Back and forth, to and fro.
She soon fell into land of dreams where the monsters couldn't reach.
Next Day
"I wonder if that boy will be here today?" Cancer questioned, sitting down with a new book at the library table.
After a while, a young man soon sat down next to her.
She laughed out loud and he glanced over the same time she did. There eyes met and they both recoiled.
"What're you doing here!?" The boy yelled, earning angry shushes from the librarians.
"I could ask you the same question," Cancer countered, "what happened to," Tell me you r name so I know not to sit near you? Huh?"
"I ... Uh," Scorpio retaliated with a stutter.
"That's what I thought," Cancer smirked, "but now ... I need you your name in return. So tell me mystery man ... What's your name?"
"Scorpio," he replied callously.
"Rude," Cancer said.
"Tch. Whatever."
Time Skip to the Next Day
Cancer had seen the boy multiple times this week. First in the nonfiction section. Then in the teen section. And lastly in the action section.
Today, Cancer was looking at Shakespeare's works. A Midsummer Night's Dream ... Hamlet ... MACBETH ... and many more. (Wow that really sounds like a promo).
She sat down at a table and a familiar warmth soon appeared next to her.
"Hello Scorpio," Cancer greeted.
He nodded and looked at her book selection.
"Ah. Romeo and Juliet, huh?" He asked. Cancer nodded and looked down, her face a ravishing red.
"Yeah," Cancer answered sheepishly.
"I love Shakespeare," Scorp replied.
"Really?" Cancer asked, "I never would've thought. If you want, you could come help me pick out some of his works ..."
"Sure. Why not?" Scorp said, giving her a "half smile."
They reached for the books and got all but one. Scorpio volunteered to get it.
He stepped onto the stool and unfortunately lost his balance. He yelped as he fell backwards, and landed on his back.
Cancer's eyes went wide and she stared down at him.
"Are you okay?" She giggled.
"Yeah," Scorpio scoffed.
"Whatever you say ... Tsun Tsun!" Cancer said.
"Well. No I know you've read manga too ... This is going to be a bumpy ride ... Of emotions and sadness, but I'm willing to get on it for you."
"Thanks ... Now let's get out before the librarians get mad at us," Cancer replied, laughing.
Thank you ... Thank you!
Sorry this took so long. I hoped you like it!
Bye bye!
