One

We're all sitting around the table , my mom has that look on her face which tells me that she has news. What could it be this time? I don't think we can deal with more bad news after all that this family has been through over the past 3 years. Whatever it is , it has to be big because she wouldn't sit us all down if it wasn't big news.

"Brandon , please take out your earphones and listen to what me and Darren have to say"

Oh so it's news from my mom and Darren , it must be big, hopefully it's not another baby. I notice that my twin brother Brandon hasn't acknowledged my mom's remark so I nudge him and signal him to take out his earphones.

"So kids, you're probably wondering why me and your mother have called you all together ..." Says Darren.

"Oh god you're not having another baby are you?" Brandon interrupts.

"... No, nothing like that"

'What is it then ?" My little sister Molly asks.

"We're Moving" my mom says, obviously quite nervous about our reactions.

"No big deal , as long as its not like out of Birmingham or anything" I say

"That's the thing sweetie, we're moving to LA, to Darrens"

"What!" Me, Brandon and Molly all seem to say in sync.

"But what about school ? " 

"We've already arranged school places for all three of you"

This is crazy. I think my mom has went mad , moving to LA. That 's a big step. No matter how much I want to stay here in England, I know theres nothing that's going to change my mom's  mind. She wants to move for Darren, he makes her happy and after everything which has happened I'm glad she's been able to move on. It all happened so quickly. It's best for us to move anyway, better opportunities for me Brandon and Molly but also my half sister Lexi can finally meet her other side of her family in LA. 

Within a month of that conversation happening,  we were all packed up and ready to leave for LA. of course I will miss all my friends, but I'm not going to lie , I am looking forward to LA. 

"Promise you won't forget us" Stevie, my childhood best friend , says to me.

"How could I forget you guys!"

"I don't know, when you meet loads of superstar , celebrity friends over in LA, you'll surely forget about all your friends down here in England" says Jack

Growing up , it was always me , Brandon, Stevie and Jack. We all grew up together, our moms were best friends. So we were forced to hang out, but we all ended up getting along really well , all our bike rides and family holidays it was awesome. They were there for us through everything,  its going to be weird without them.

"Guys , its not as if we can't Skype!" I suggest

"You better not forget, we're you're best friends"

"We're going to miss you pair loads!" Brandon says

"Guys , come on we've got to go , we've got to drive to London to get to Gatwick!" exclaims Darren.

"Guess it's time to go then!" I say

We all hug and say our goodbyes and then get into the taxi. As we have goodbye to our friends and our childhood, our journey to a new life begins.

"Here we go guys, LA we're on our way"

 A long flight later and we finally arrive in LA , then we catch a taxi, or a cab to our new house.
