Knocking on the door to Calum's house, Colby let her knuckles fall on the door three times before shoving her hands in the pockets of her coat. She waited a few seconds after getting no response and raised her fist to knock again when the door was yanked open. Michael stood before her with a small smile which faltered into a somewhat blank stare when he locked eyes with her. Can anybody say Déjà Vu or what?

"Oh, uh, hey Colby? If you're here for Calum he hasn't been here since yesterday." Michael shoved his hand in his front pocket and tried to discreetly look at her from head to toe.

"No. I actually came to talk to you. And if you don't mind its like 30 degrees outside." Colby pushed past the pale boy and welcomed herself to the heat of the house. Michael shut the door behind him and spun on his heel to face her.

"Colby I have so much to say to you. You really have no idea, first I should probably start with I'm sorr-"

"Don't. Let's not do this right now. Let's just talk about this wedding." Colby talked through a forced smile and absentmindedly fiddled with the waistband of her leggings. Yeah she wore the same outfit from her dream, after all it did save her a hell of a lot of time of sitting in front of her closet.

"Are you sure? I feel like I owe you some explanations." Michael's eyebrow was wrinkled in confusion. He's definitely heard the stories of how Colby felt about him and this attitude didn't match that at all.

"I'm sure. We can play catch up later. But for now let's just sit on the couch and talk about this wedding." Colby forced another smile and willed herself to continue with her plan. Of course she wanted to hear these sorry ass excuses. She waited two years for them! But that would have to wait again, but this time in the name of being petty.

"I'm actually in my room watching, uh, Pokémon. We can sit in there if that's cool with you." Michael slightly blushed at the mention of Pokémon as if he was embarrassed.

"That's fine. I still fuck with Pokémon." Colby smiled as Michael led the way to the room.

"You know you have never liked that show. You only ever watched it because I'd ask you too. Mina would always tell us it's for kids. She still won't watch it with me."

"Well in case you forgot, I'm not Mina so let's get to it. Show me the Pikachu." Colby genuinely laughed while sitting next to Michael on the bed.

"So uh,guess you heard about the wedding and all that?" Michael attempted to make conversation but it was clear that he didn't know how to go about it. What do you say to your ex-best friend after leaving them for two years? Michael wanted to explain himself to clear the air but Colby obviously did not want to hear it right now.

"Yeah, congratulations. Now where exactly do I fit in in all of this?"

"We want you to be a bridesmaid. Maybe even the maid of honor."

"You've got to be shitting me right?" Colby thought while wishing she could display her emotions on her face. She fought to control her expressions and contorted her mouth into a smile. No but really, who in the world thought this would be a good idea? It makes no damn sense.

"But why me of all people?"

"We want all of the people who influenced us so much in the past to still be a part of our future."
