*Laura's POV*
We continue on our ride. I look over at her and hear her light snores. She is such an easy sleeper. She could sleep anywhere basically. As long as she is conformable, she'll sleep. It's really cute actually. I let her head continue to lean on my shoulder as I drive.
After about an hour of driving and lots of thinking about how I'm going to tell my mom, we finally reached my childhood home. I decided that I'm just going to wing it and let it all play out the way it is supposed to be. When she sees me with a girl she'll be surprised but I'm pretty sure she will be just as accepting as if it were a guy.
I didn't want to wake Taylor up from her very peaceful looking slumber. But I know I have to. I love watching her sleep. The motion of her chest inhaling and exhaling, the sound of her steady breaths. I like to see her at the most peaceful state she could possibly be in. Everything about her intrigues me. The way her hair falls perfectly in front of her face, the little snorts she makes when she laughs too hard, or the way her eyes change their shade depending on her mood. I like to study everything about her because she is the only thing that is really important to me.
I stop thinking and decide to try and wake her.
"Babe?...Baby?...Taylor?" I caress her face.
"Hmmm." She lets out a sigh.
"We're here gorgeous." I remove the straggle hairs from her face and tuck them behind her ear.
"Shit." She opens her eyes.
"C'mon, let's go babe." I undo our seat belts.
"I'm ready, just let me fix my hair and makeup." She pulls down the visor mirror to check herself out.
"Oh my god you're beautiful stop. Your hair is fine and your makeup is fine too relax. She is going to love you no matter what." I tell her.
"Okay okay! I'm ready. Fuck if your mom is anything as hot as you are, I need to look my best." She playfully winks at me.
"I better not have competition against my mom. I'll kick your ass." I gently push her arm.
We get out of the car and head up the stairs to the decent size house. I walk in first and Tay follows behind me. When we walk in we can hear my family laughing. That's always what a Prepon family gathering consists of, laughing and of course our traditional dance to 'Meatloaf-Paradise By The Dashboard Lights' but we only do that at big family gatherings.
"Hello!" I yell out to the kitchen where everyone is.
"Oh my god! Laura!" My mom comes out from the kitchen and makes her way to where Tay and I are standing by the front door. She gives me a tight hug.
"Hi mom." I hug her back.
"This is Taylor."
"Hello, Ms. Prepon." Taylor goes to shake my moms hand, but my mom pulls her in for a hug.
"Marjorie, or Marj dear. It's nice to meet you." My mom lets go of her.
"Laura I thought you were bringing your boyfriend, apparently also named Taylor?" I can see Taylor's face start to turn bright red.
"This is Taylor mom. My girlfriend." I come right out and say it with no hesitation.
"Oh..." There was a bit of silence for a minute.
"Welcome to the family Taylor! If my daughter is happy so am I." She brings both of us in for a hug.
I knew my mom would be okay with it. The only people who I wasn't sure was my brother and sisters and how they would take it. They are all very supportive but they are just too curious and joke about everything. I have a very open and cool family which I'm thankful for but for some people they can be a little too much to handle.
