"The lake is so beautiful isn't it?"
I almost jumped, forgetting that I had taken our Luna, katina to the lake with me. She had been silent the entire way, the only sound was the birds and the leaves under our feet.

The lake looked amazing today, with pink, purple, red, yellow and white flowers, framing the entire lake with a short sandy beach separating the grass and flowers from the waterline. The water was so clear today, that even in the deepest part you could see straight to the bottom, with small fish swimming in the shallows, glinting in the sunlight. The sound of the waterfall was so relaxing and if you closed your eyes, you would forget that you are in Ireland and think that you are in paradise, which is what this place was for katina and I, our little bit of paradise.
We found our usual spot on the grass, where there was a small gap in the flowers to the lake for us to walk through, the flowers came halfway up our shins, so we could easily wake through them but decided not to. This was one of the only spots left that weren't ruined by anyone or anything so we stood to the same path to not trample all the flowers. We laid a blanket down along with a basket full of food. There was all sorts of things in the basket, from French bread to red peppers with goats cheese on, one of my favourite things.
"So how are you and zane getting along? Any chance of pups and me being a godmother yet?" I laughed and she shot me a pointed look before bursting into a fit of laughter herself.
"Well even if there was pups, I wouldn't let you be the godmother! You'd teach them all the tricks to get what they want!" By this point she couldn't control her laughter and was rolling on the blanket until she suddenly froze sitting up, a look of urgency in her eye.
"What?! What is it!" I said turning around to look for any danger, when I turned around she had a massive smile on her face and said in a voice on a werewolf could hear, "race you to the lake," and with that, she took off running in the opposite direction, turning around to see if I was following her, little did she know, I was right behind her when she stopped, it was a small slope down to the lake from the grass and with the force I slammed into her, we both fell and tumbled into the water, scattering the fish and in a fit of laughter.
"Hey! No fair! I was waiting for you!" She exclaimed when we finally got our breath back. "I know, I just wanted for us to tumble into the lake in a clumsy manner if I'm honest," I teased, getting a small smile off her, which quickly turned into a mischievous and sly smile.
"What?" She was going to do something, I just don't know wha-
My thoughts were interrupted as she swung her arm across the waters surface, creating s huge wave that crashed over me unexpectedly, knocking me over so that I was sat in the shallows, chest deep, with my long hair that goes to my waist, floating around me as if it was some sort of protective shield.

I stood up, about to give katina a taste of her own medicine when I smelled the most wonderful smell ever, it was like forest pine, but whatever it was, my wolf liked it.

Mate, she growled.
