I saw the kit kats flying through the stale air in Target, aiming straight for me. Then I saw who tossed them and I knew getting whacked in the head was a small price to pay for this girl to change my view on life.
She stared me in the eyes, a look of absolute terror adorned upon her clear crystallized skin. Her dazzling green eyes bored into mine and for the first time in a long time, I didn't feel alone.
May antagonized my need to get to know her and when she caved, inviting me to meet her entire family, I was a bit shocked. I knew I was only going to be her fake boyfriend; in that moment I didn't care. I needed her to be mine in anyway she'd allow. Little would she know I couldn't act around her.
"When are we leaving?" I wondered, completed boycotting my original plan for Target: to buy the new gta for the tour bus. Sneaking out of my hotel room was a skill I accomplished the last tour I was on. No one needed to know my secret excursions and I never got caught.
Getting this trip to fly with Andrew would probably end in a fiery blaze of burnt skulls and dollar bills. I figured I'd just call him in the morning to tell him I'd meet him Wednesday at the venue.
"Now," May said, swiping her credit card before scribbling her signature across the glowing screen. My feet felt like concrete, stuck to the tiled floor. Never had I completely gone all in with a stranger, abandoning my tour and all the people there keeping me safe from the harsh public eye. Sure I'd been without my bodyguard and friends before, but being 100% alone for four days with some girl and her family scared the heck out of me.
"Are you backing out or what?" Wondered May, sliding the plastic bag down her arm so it was by her elbow, brushing up against the short, red sundress she had on.
"Just one more question," I spoke, placing my phone into the back pocket of my black jeans. "You're not some crazy fan or kidnapper or anything like that, right."
May rolled her eyes at me before confessing, "No, you're being paranoid. I literally had no idea who you were twenty minutes ago and I still barely have any clue as to who you claim to be."
She walked towards the sliding glass doors before spinning on her heal, her long caramelized hairs flying in the breeze, "Are you going to join me or should I find a new boyfriend."
The thought of anyone else dating her sent my heart into knots. Obviously I wasn't her boyfriend but I was planning on doing everything in my power during these next few days to change that.
My concreted feet became freed and I was sprinting up to her side. May lead me to her car after I told her I didn't have one. She drove a small grey chevy. The perfect car for a tiny girl. The lights flashed as she unlocked it.
Her backseat was cluttered with a purple suitcase, grey northface backpack, cases of water, some random bottles of beer rolling around the floor, and now the plastic bag filled with paper plates and the weapon, also known as kit kats.
All I wanted was sleep. These shows keep taking more and more out of me then the one before and I was ready to crash. My world tour just kicked off and there i was completely pooped. If this was truly a family vacation, then I hoped I'd get the sleep I was praying for.
"Are we driving there right now?" I asked as she kick started the engine, roaring it to life.
"That was my plan. Why? Got a hot date?" She smirked, pulling out of the parking space and gunning the engine towards the exit. Her driving was crazier than the time a fan jumped on stage and tried to outrun security to give me a hug.
"Yeah," it was my turn to smirk, and her face fell. I almost felt bad for joking with her but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see that smile she never failed to wear, falter a tad. "With my bed."
