May

The sun crept into the luxurious hotel room early the next morning. I was never one to sleep past sunrise. Well I could if I was recovering from a night out drinking.

This hotel shawn was staying in was nicer than all the crappy motels I spent avoiding during horrid single family vacations. The shimmery wall paper, all the soft blankets and pillows, air freaking conditioning, and the fridge stocked with endless supplies of junk food.

I rolled out from under the fluffy white comforter carefully as to not wake Shawn. The dark bags adorned underneath his eyes as he slept told me he could use the extra few minutes as I got ready. His short brown hair was messy from tossing and turning during the night, but it still had that handsome fluffiness from last night. He reminded me of a cute little stuffed animal a boy would win for you at the carnival, if you were lucky enough as to have a boy who liked you that much. I was not.

Scalding hot water fled from the shower as I stepped in, washing away the sleeplessness. As I scrubbed my hair with the tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner already in the shower, I thought back to last night. I couldn't believe I let my secret slip. Shawn knew too much about me for not even knowing about my existence for 24 hours. Not even the people I've known since birth knew I went to juvie.

Family means everything and I wasn't going to let Gabby Finley downgrade my broken one just for kicks. I would never let anyone speak badly about the ones I care for and get away with it.

Stepping out of the shower, I dried my body off before wrapping the same delicate white towel around my hair. The cloudy mirror reflected nothing but a distorted picture back at me. I hopped into a pair of old jean shorts and a black tank before wiping my hand across the mirror, revealing the racoon eyes my mascara created.

Shawn was still sleeping when I emerged from the warm box so I did the best thing anyone would do in my situation, trying to get to vacation; I jumped up and down on the bed singing Wake Up by Hilary Duff.

A pillow was chucked at me head, but I kept singing only being cut off by the screams of the king himself, "Your singing is making my ears bleed."

"Thank you Chicago!!" I concluded, taking a bow before jumping one final time and landing on Shawn's back. "Rise and shine, boyfriend. We have big, big plans today."

He pushed me off him then turned over. The sunlight hit his face and he pulled his arm over his eyes to lessen the pain. "Five more minutes please," whined Shawn.

Being a nice person ran deep in my veins, but this man was holding up my peaceful margarita drinking on a beach. I abandoned being nice and pulled the white comforter right off him, exposing only a pair of basketball shorts covering his perfectly tanned skin. My breathe caught in my throat. Holy muscles galore. Holy back muscles galore. Holy abs. Holy arm muscles outstretched, coming towards me.

Awakening from my momentary death thanks to muscles, I quickly snapped back into reality or maybe it was a dream because the hottest man was chasing me around his hotel room in nothing but shorts.

Was I in Heaven?

"May (whatever your last name is), get over here!" He told me as I climbed up onto the empty bed while he stood on the beige carpeted ground.

I waved around the white plush pillow in my hands, saying, "DO not make me mess up your pretty face with this deadly weapon. Because I will if you don't start getting ready."

"Is that a threat?" Shawn asked, in a playful tone. I had a feeling we would be arriving later than I hoped.

"It's a prom--" Before I could finish, Shawn dove onto the bed, grabbing my ankles and pulling me down with him. I was pinned down onto the bed. The only thing I could see was Shawn's gorgeous face, with those hypnotizing eyes and that cute nose.
