Werewolf. Half man, half beast. It's a strange thing to think about neverless be one. I don't think I will ever get used to refering to myself as a creature.

"Wait, wait. You want me to transfer out of Beauxbatons? Are you crazy?"

Papa nods wearily, massaging his temples. He sighs and looks up to face my anger.

"Listen, Lexi. I know you have all your friends there but it isn't safe anymore. You need to go to Hogwarts and talk to Albus Dumbledore. He can help."

I growl and slam my fist on the table, startling my parents.

"I am perfectly fine where I am even with this new...condition. Please Papa, Mum, don't send me to Hogwarts," I plead.

My parents share a look and Mum shakes her head.

"I'm sorry, mon cher, but we have no choice. We are only doing what's best for you."

I huff angrily and storm out of the kitchen.

Pu-lease! They wanted me to go to Hogwarts in the first place! My lycanthropism is only an excuse to send me to their dream school!

I slam my bedroom door and flop unceremoniously onto my blue bed.

"Ugh!"

I roll over and puff at the ceiling. Downstairs, I can hear my parents heartbeats slightly rise because of the slamming door. I breathe in deeply, dust assults my nose. The scents of Mum, hot tea and caramel, and Papa, oak and embers, drift through the door. I memorize the scents and save them.

There's nothing I can do about it, now I'm going to Hogwarts. I hate my life.

I roll over and punch my pillow.

Maybe I'll feel better about it tomorrow, after some sleep.

With that thought, I close my eyes and fall into a restless sleep full of furry beasts and castles.
