"No, Hagrid! Wait!"

Harry tries to back away but Hagrid just grabs him under the armpits like a child, lifts him up, and drops him down on Buckbeaks back.

"Hold on tight!"

Hagrid slaps the beasts flank; it rears up and races off with a screaming Harry Potter hanging on for dear life.

I break free of Blaise' grip to run in the direction the creature took off in, stopping before the edge of the clearing. Half of the class chases after me, wanting to join.

In the distance, I see a semi-large shape with a smaller on on top of it.

S'il vous plaît ne pas tomber!*

The class ooohhs' and aaahhs' at the majestic beast fly; I bite my nails.

Blaise comes to stand on my right side with Malfoy.

"I hope he falls," the obnoxious blond unnecessarily comments whilst sneering. I turn to snarl at him but a scream interrupts me.

"Lexi! Look out!"

A beat of wings from behind me make me yip and dodge off to the side. There are several cheers and outburst of laughter at my almost untimely demise.  I mutter darkly as I brush dirt off my robe. A pair of shoes to my left catch my eye and I look up to see Blaise offering his hand to me. I flush slightly while taking it, letting him pull me to my feet. I nod a thank you and join the class crowding around a newly grounded Harry Potter.

"You almost killed me with that bloody beast!," I yell, trying not to grin.

Harry looks sheepish. I growl lowly, but I've already forgiven him. I'm just teasing. However, as soon as that dark sound leaves my throat, Buckbeak rears up on his hind legs to kick at me. The class screams and scatters, leaving me alone to face the overgrown bird. I prepare to take a hit as my fight instinct kicks in on overdrive, thanks to my werewolf blood.

Before anything serious could go down, Hagrid jumps in between me and the beast, waving his huge arms to send it off. The hippogryff  races off into the forest, frightened by the giant.

Blood is rushing in my ears, and black takes over my vision. I'm hyperventilating and I can't move. Hagrid notices my predicament and he kneels down to attempt to calm me. Harry, Ron, and Hermione rush to my side, wanting to comfort or figure out the problem. My senses are empowered by my classmates voices and the smell of the forest. Everything is muffled; voices, faces and  I. Can't. Freaking. Breathe.

Oh merde.. I think I'm going to faint.

As soon as that thought runs through my mind, my vision goes and I vaguely feel my head thump onto the ground as I crumble. Everything fades to nothing.
