Chapter 2

Miles and Jax walked over to the Dunn's house.

M: So, why didn't you want to go alone?
J: Julie hates me but likes you.
M: Whatever you say.

They got to the Dunn house, and Miles was surprised to see Kit at the door. They walked in behind her.

M: *whispers* What's Kit doing here?
J: *whispers* She's Scarlett's sister.
M: *raises his eyebrows* How?
J: They're both adopted.

The boys along with Kit, Denzel, and Julie set up for the party. Kit came over to Miles.

K: You mind going upstairs to get a glue gun from me and Scarlett's room?
M: Sure.

Miles went up the stairs. He knocked on the door, so he doesn't risk seeing Scarlett naked. The door opens revealing Scarlett in a navy blue knee length dress with silver shoes. Miles looks at her with his mouth open. Scarlett smiles.

Sc: What do you think?

Miles looked up to respond, and he notice her hair was straighten.

M: Your hair.
Sc: Yeah?
M: It looks great.
Sc: *smiles and blushes* Thanks.
M: Uh, Kit asked me to get a glue gun.

Scarlett went over to a desk and gets the glue gun. She gives it to Miles. He was still smiling at Scarlett, causing her to smile and blush more. Miles takes the glue gun,and he heads back downstairs. Miles gave Kit the glue gun, and then Jax pulled him into the kitchen.

J: What are you smiling about?
M: Nothing.
J: Come on. That's not a 'nothing' smile.
M: Dude, it's...
J: Wait. What were you guys doing up there? *wiggling his eyebrows*
M: Wha... Nothing!
J: Okay, whatever you say. *smiles goofy*

Kit comes in, and the boys tried to act natural. Miles and his whistling made Kit suspicious.

K: What were you guys talking about?
M: Nothing.
J: Scarlett and Miles.

Miles punched Jax semi hard in the arm. Kit pulled Miles by his shirt.

K: If you did something to her, I swear...
M: Easy tiger. I didn't do anything, except compliment her.

Kit releases his shirt, and she turned to Jax.

K: Don't ever do that. Anyone that hurts my sister gets hurt.

Kit turned and went out the kitchen door. Miles and Jax raised their eyebrows at each other.

M: She's scary.
J: Yeah, she is.

They all continued with party set ups.
