09 Chapter - Nohpiaz

Present:
Through the wind the flower are slowly losing petals that dance along and graciously fall on the ground. Our feet slowly stepping on them would advance not giving one more thought to them. "With that breeze and the petal around really gives the spring vibes right?"
Today I'm with Mikage and Teito, we agreed to go out and spend the day fooling around.
"I get what you say, the weather is great too!" Mikage smiles and walking in front of Teito and me. We had a little conversation while Teito wasn't here, he really is happy that Teito made friends with me. So I just smile as Teito catches up to Mikage, those two really get along and it was my pleasure to see their friendship.

A dark aura appear and my body stiffened at the upcoming crash. A dark thing is heading towards us. Immediately my body runs in front of Mikage, it was as if I could saw my own body into an omniscient point of view, putting on a shield of zaiphon in front of me it exploded from the smash. These brillant dust fading in the sky, it wasn't just me, Teito covered Mikage at the same time as me as well. "...! It's zaiphon...!" The shock from the explosion hurt but it was nothing when we saw that our zaiphon was fading with another zaiphon. Our zaiphon color are blue, so this red dust aren't our! "An enemy? (Name) take Mikage away-"
Teito's word was cut by another attack, this time it was more powerful and precise, if Teito didn't instinctively put a shield on him he would have suffer big damage. "Teito!"
Mikage's petrified voice resonated in the street, Teito was bleeding from his wound. Mikage was shock but without thinking he was already to Teito's side ready to cover him. "I don't know what's happening but it looks like you somewhat get it, you'll explain to me later, but first we need to get out." Mikage's courage and strength are always so dazzling, they're both shining so brightly. "Mikage! Don't play the hero here, you can die from that! Just go with (Name)! Please Mikage!"

Teito's panicked voice hurt me, my heart was being squeezed as I understand his feeling. Losing Mikage twice... "Teito calm down! Mikage, Teito stay behind me." Taking a big breath I put a double barrier around us, one with offensive zaiphon and the other that was stronger with healing zaiphon. "Teito, I don't have your stamina so let me heal you, if we have to fight... you're clearly better than me." Using my zaiphon I closed his injury in front of Mikage bewildered eyes.
"Thank you (Name), sorry I lost my composure." He looks around and then with the less unnecessary movement possible he launches his zaiphon on a tree. A man came out and reply back with another. "That's...!" It was similar to zaiphon but when you look at the attack precisely. "It's reverse zaiphon!"

"What? That is not possible...!" The only one using reverse zaiphon was archbishop assistant Bastien back then and possibly wars or warsfeil. "With Verloren disappearance and Frau's doing his work it's supposed to have disappear!" As my last shield was destroyed Teito attacks the man letting me time to put back another one, but this time I've only put it on Mikage, a small would be stronger. "What? Isn't this thing a shield, (Name) put it around you two too!" Ignoring his complaint I got to Teito's side, I was losing my stamina, sport isn't my greatest talent. "(Name) stand back you can't.."

"Don't talk nonsense, neither you or me can, I know it! We don't have the strength nor the talent we had back then! That's why here we need to put our strength in common. I'm almost out of zaiphon..." Breathing loudly, my body was shouting me that I would collapsed but I won't, not until I know we're safe. Teito nods, what I said was truth and he couldn't ignore it.
We used our attack to cornered him somehow into the wall, he was tired much more than us, with my last strength I used my healing zaiphon to bind him. My zaiphon around Mikage disappear and he came near us.
"Talk." Teito threatened the man with his zaiphon. "Teito.. calm down... who are you and why are you using reverse zaiphon..!" Laughing the man answered: "Fools! Do you think that I'll tell you! My lord will crush you!" I don't know if his laugh was from madness or no.
"Your lord? Don't tell me it's Verloren!" Getting angry Teito takes him by the collar. Mikage took him back. "Haha... yes it is him, the truth Verloren will be reborn, our real lord!"

Out of nowhere an attack come flying and we just had the time to avoid it. Looking back at the tree, the man was dead a flow of red was falling and staining the petal. A scent that I've forgot was brought back to my nose. "What, why?" The shock was too much, my past was my past but this scene was real right in front of me. In fact, I didn't have the time to think, another quick attack came at us but Teito's last zaiphon won't be enough and we'll be blown away too.
Just like that I put myself in front of them waiting for the collision to happen. 
I hear a big explosion but I wasn't hurt. In front of me was Frau. He stopped the attack with his own zaiphon. "Frau, you saved us!"

The attack stopped, Frau turns around and pats my head. "You did well until I came back." As if it was the signal for me to finally lower my guard I fall down on my knee, all the tiredness from the fight was suddenly striving all my remaining strength, so did Teito. "Frau..he was using zaiphon...reverse zaiphon and attacked us..what does that mean?" Breathless I ask him, Mikage knee down to my side and hold me close to him. I was surprised but seriously I don't have the strength to even be shy, I hugged him. "The man is dead right? Even if I use healing zaiphon he won't come back, even if Teito or you try to killed the war he won't be forgive anymore... all this blood.. this scent..it's making me dizzy..." Mikage hugs back and patting my back without a word, this warm body, being hold in his arm remind me of our very first encounter.. it calms me down.. my heart rate is pacing quickly but not from the fatigue anymore... "Sorry.. I was so shock.. you're probably shocked too Teito, Mikage..." Mikage smiles awkwardly, he probably didn't understand everything and zaiphon must be a shocking revelation.

"Frau, what will you do with Mikage?" Teito asks. "I don't know brat, but for now, let's go somewhere else." Taking me from Mikage's arm Frau hold me. "Can you both stand up brat? Let's head to your school."

Mikage and Frau help to put us on the bed in the infirmary room. As both of them took a sit between both bed. "Can I have my explanation now?" Teito began to explain him what was zaiphon, a gift offered by god to only some people, but this was supposed to have disappear a long time ago. We both happen to be able to use it. "Is it really all Teito? I know you from a long time... you're so bad at hiding things." Sighing Teito looks at Frau and me. "I'm sorry Mikage, there is something we really can't tell you... because... it is against the law." Seeing how we were serious about this matter, he didn't ask for more.

"I guess it's my turn to tell you the story, but you're too tire-" Grabbing Frau's right arm as Teito's grabs his left arm we both shouted "Don't hide anything from us Frau!" He sighs and looking at us he opens his mouth. "Fine I'll tell you the big line, the details will come later, after you get a rest." Glaring back at us we couldn't defy his words and let his arms go. "Quickly saying it, a part of people discover zaiphon by letting their emotion take control over them. A few of them have appeared everywhere in the world. Since it's a big power, each government reunite in other to debate. In the a international organization named (ZaiU) Zaiyu was created to manage people using zaiphon and minimize the damage from a big war. On the other hand, some of these people are against being tied by laws." Marking a pause Frau chooses carefully his word. "They rebelled against Zaiyu and ended up discovering reverse zaiphon, they're called Nohpiaz user. They're looking for other member, they're trying to overthrown the world into darkness, using, Verloren legend." Nohpiaz, Zaiyu...and Verloren legend. A lot of thing happened, and Frau was alone facing all of it. "They must have sensed your zaiphon, with technologies of this world it's possible, be careful please damn brat. Because they are using zaiphon like Kor, Wars I have a lot of work to do. I need to deal with them. Be aware, I wanted to end this before you knew... but I couldn't."

Frau is always helping the other... As Frau orders Mikage to sleep too, he went to my side. Stroking my hair for me to rest, I quickly fall asleep. A hand linked with mine and my closed eyes revealed me a lot of my memories with Frau...
