"BRINGGGGGGG"

Katsumi, laying face down into her pillow, and felt around for something to throw at her alarm clock.

She picked up her shoe and chucked it at the annoying object. She hit it right on the 'off' button. Katsumi's aim was perfect.

She pulled herself out of her large, king-sized bed. Katsumi then went about her normal morning routine and took a shower, got dressed, and trudged down her long spiral staircase to make herself breakfast.

Katsumi Miyoko was the second daughter of Ian and Kira Miyoko. She had once had an older sister named Tara. Keyword there, 'once'. Her parents and older sister had died in a car accident when she was 9. Katsumi had chosen to keep living in her family's HUGE mansion. Her parents had been extremely wealthy, rich. Not many people would know though. Katsumi didn't tell anyone about her parents, and didn't dress above average. The only person other than her schools staff that knew about her parents death was Kiba Inuzuka, her best friend.

Kiba and Katsumi had been friends for as long as either of them could remember. Their parents had been friends, so naturally the two of them grew up together and had grown close.

Maybe a little too close. Katsumi had begun to realise that she really liked Kiba. Maybe even loved. But she had realised that too late. He had a girlfriend now. Tamaki.

Tamaki was very sweet, but she was extremely jealous of Katsumi. She envied the way she had known Kiba for years, when Tamaki herself had only dated him for a month and a half.

Back to Katsumi. She was now about to walk out her door when her phone vibrated.

To: Katsumi
From: Kiba

Hey Kat! Walk to school with me?

To: Kiba
From: Katsumi

No, I'm taking my car today. Sorry Pup

Katsumi had always called Kiba 'Pup' because of his love for dogs, and he had always called her 'Kat' because of her name.

Her phone vibrated again.

To: Katsumi
From: Kiba

Mind if I ride with you?

Katsumi chuckled. She didn't mind if Kiba rode with her in her car, but Tamaki on the other hand might mind.

To: Kiba
From: Katsumi

Won't Tamaki mind?

To: Katsumi
From: Kiba

Nah, if she does, she'll deal with me, okay Kat?

To: Kiba
From: Katsumi

Okay. Whatever you say Pup

Katsumi walked out of her house and looked at the gate leading to the house next to hers.

Kiba lived next door to Katsumi.

The messy brown haired boy appeared at the gate, put his arms through the bars and smirked at Katsumi. God he looked hot with that smirk on his face.

"Little help here Kat?" The teen asked her.

Katsumi walked over to the gate and stood in front of him

"Hmmm, let me think about this one Pup." She retorted.

"Aw come on Katsumi! You said you'd give me a ride!" Kiba looked at her with his puppy dog eyes.

"I know, I was kidding Kiba."

Katsumi opened the gate with her keys and strode over to her car, the gate locking itself back.

Kiba hopped into the passenger seat of her car.

"Thanks for the ride Kit Kat."

"No problem Kiba."

They rode the 10 minute car ride to Konoha High School in a comfortable silence.

When Katsumi pulled up to the school, put the car in park, and was about to open her door, Kiba locked it on her.

"Oh come on Kiba! You know I hate it when you do that!" She whined.

"Alright, alright Kat. I'll be nice today." he said.

He unlocked the door, only to lock it again.

Katsumi honestly wondered whose car this really was.

"Thanks for the ride Angel." Kiba whispered in her ear, unlocking the doors. He then kissed the top of her head and jumped out of the car and walked towards an angry looking Tamaki at the front doors of the school. She had probably seen the whole exchange.

Katsumi just chuckled to herself at Kiba's new nickname for her and got out of her car and started to walk towards the school building. She saw Kiba arguing with Tamaki on her way in, and as she went by, whispered in his ear, "Good luck Pup."
