4. Jealousy

Time skip to a week later

Gray's POV :
I couldn't help but be jealous of Natsu, he is one of my closest friends but god is he annoying, that little flame brain.
I couldn't stay and eat with Natsu and Lucy laughing together everyday. I needed some air.
I make my way outside, I sit near a big cherry tree, and think to myself.
What if I invited her to a party before Nastu does ? Yes that's a great idea Gray.
I then hear Juvia's voice.
" What do you want Juvia ? "
" Well I wanted to know if you were ok, are you ? "
" Yes fine. "
" Okey then Juvia will leave you in peace "

Juvia's POV:
I start to get up and leave but something was tugging at my shirt, it was Gray.
" Err Gray what is it ? "
" Can you please help me get Lucy ? "
" Why I thought you didn't like her ? "
" Well I lied, please help me, I will do whatever you want ! "
" Juvia will help you..."
When Gray asked me to do that for him my heart felt like it was drowning.
" Thanks Juvia I owe you one " he said with a smirk on his face.

Timeskip to a couple of days later : (Gray and Juvia have started to become friends and send each other messages occasionally)

I lay in my bed. I can't stop thinking about Gray. A tear started to fall down my cheek.
What why am I crying, stop Juvia, stop crying for someone you barely know. STOP.
I hear my phone vibrate and it was Gray, he had sent me a text.

Gray's house :
* Knock, Knock, Knock *
" Come in "
" Hello M. Fullbuster, is Gray here? "
" Yes he is, whom might you be ? " he said with a smile.
" Oh yes sorry, my name is Juvia, Juvia Lockser"
" Hmm...why does Lockser sound so familiar ? Oh wait you must be Rave's daughter ? Am I right ? "
" Yes do you know each other ? "
" Yes we were old friends, are you Gray's girlfriend ? "
"Oh no, Gray and I are juste friends" I said in an embarrassed way.
" Dad stop it, leave my Juvia alone "
" Oh hi Gray "
" Hey Juvia thanks for coming, come with me "
I then proceed to follow him.

Juvia's POV :
I blushed a bit when he said " Leave my Juvia alone ", I dont know why but I liked the way he says my name...
" So what is your plan to get Lucy ? " I asked even though I didn't want to know about it.
" I was thinking about asking her to a party and her coming as my date, do you think she will accept? "
" I really don't know Gray"
What ? he's going to ask Lucy out ? But they don't know each other...but Lucy is my best friend and I want her to have fun so I will help.
* sigh *
" What's wrong Juvia ? " you can come too, I have a friend that would for sure take you, his name is Lyon "
" Sorry Gray but Juvia doesn't want to go" Knowing that Gray would be there, I just had to decline. I raced out and began to cry on my way back home.

Juvia's house :
" What's wrong Juvia " my mum asked
" Nothing, Juvia is just tired"
And I raced upstairs to my room.
*Beep*
" Who's texted me now ? " I said to myself
Rrrr it was Gray!
"Go away Gray" I yelled at my phone and just ignored it.

A couple of days later at school:
"Juvia? "
I turned round and saw Gray
" Oh it's you...hey. " I said in a depressed way.
"I've been texting you all weekend, why didn't you reply ? "
" Sorry I wasn't feeling well " (because I was thinking about you but let's keep that to myself)
"Oh what's wrong? are you ok now ?"
" Yes just fine " Which was obviously a lie.
" So how was your date with Lucy ? " Why did I ask that, I don't even want to know.
" It was good we had fun "
" Great "
I left quickly to avoid any eye contact with him.
