Week of Updates- Day 1

*Matthew's P.O.V.*

"Rise and shine!" The gaurd yelled slamming on my cell's door making me wake up imediately.

I yawned and sat up looking around the small room. My first night here went smoothly for a crazy house. After the community room, they took me back down here and gave me a small plate of mashed potatoes and a roll for dinner. I'm guessing this all carb diet they're trying to give me is to beef me up to kill me or something.

I ran my fingers through my hair and walked over to Sophia's cell window. She was standing by the cell window she shared with Lexi and they were talking. They were probably talking about what they were talking about yesterday, but I couldn't tell.

"I DON'T WANT TO! LET GO OF ME PESANT!" Someone screamed from the hallway which made Sophia turn around and run to the door of her cell. I did the same and ran to my door.

Once I got their, I saw the gaurds that bought me to see the general yesterday and the one that tends to come and check on me wrestling with a woman who had to be at least 50.

She had gray hair which was pulled up into a tight bun. She was petite and was a little over weight. Her blue eyes shined as the tinted light in the hallway lit them up. She was crying.

I watched as the gaurd's threw her onto the ground and one went in with a pair of handcuffs.

"NO, DON'T TOUCH ME!" The lady cried. A couple of seconds later I heard the lock of the cuffs and the gaurd ran out of the room and locked the cell in fear.

"We gotta stop letting all these murderers in here. First Espinosa, now her. This is serious, one of us could get killed." He told the other gaurd as they walked down the hallway toward the community room.

"Hear that," Max spoke loud enough for me to hear.

I turned my attention to the window between our cell's and walked over to him.

"What'd I hear?"

"They're scared of you, boy. That takes a lot. They ain't even scared of me and I kept kid's heads in jars."

I crinkled my nose and fell back down onto my mattress.

"HELP ME!" The lady from across the hall screamed. She let out a cry of pain. Though I felt bad, I wanted to go over their and knock her out.

"Well after we get out we need to move somewhere far away. I'm not staying anywhere near here, you crazy?" I heard Sophia whisper to Lexi.

I stood up and looked at Max confused who just shrugged.

"Why's she crazy?" I asked walking over to the window between Sophia and I's cells.

"Yeah!" Max yelled defensively.

"Just tell them," Lexi sighed.

"We're planning an escape route. We don't belong here and we know it. So we're getting out. But you have to promise to not tell anyone." Sophia explained.

"I won't say anything if," Max spoke suspiciously, "if I can help and escape with you."

Lexi sighed again, "Deal."

"You want in too, 268?" Sophia asked looking me in the eyes.

"Yeah but I'm not a robot, remember? I'm Matt."

She giggled, "I know I just like teasing you is all."

Gosh, she was adorable.

"We'll discuss this in the community room." She told us before sitting down on her mattress.

_____________

As soon as the gaurd brought me into the community room, I noticed that everyone from yesterday was there expect the lady from across the hall and The Dicer's.

Before I could walk over to Sophia, Lexi, and Max, I was handcuffed and pulled out of the room. Nobody seemed shocked as I was pulled out of the room.

"What's going on?" I asked the gaurd in confusion.

"You're being brought to the general's office for questioning."

"I already did this, yesterday!" I told the man as he opened the door.

"This is about something else. No smart moves." He said sitting me in the same chair I sat in yesterday.

The general was dressed in the same clothes as yesterday but he didn't have the same smirk on his face like I remembered. This face was of grief and sadness.

"What's going on?" I questioned him as the gaurd left the room.

"Betty Leah was moved in across the hall from you this morning, do you recall that?"

I nodded, he must have been talking about that screaming old lady.

"Matt you aren't in trouble here unless you had something to do with this, okay?"

I nodded once again.

"Do you know Ciara, Gia, Nick, Noah, and Kori?"

The Dicer's.

I nodded.

"They broke into her cell just moments before we brought you here and murdered her."

My eyes widened in shock, "Are you serious?"

"I wish I wasn't, You didn't know anything about this?"

"No, I've never even talked to The Dic-"

"Wait Matt," Lexi called. I turned my attention to her as she ran over to me, "they can't know about The Dicer's."

"Why not?" I asked confused.

"They can't." She said with a worried expression on her face.

"I've never talked to them in my life." I said remembering what Lexi had told me and the look on her face.

"Alright, Espinosa. I trust you, believe it or not. If you find out anything, you are to come to right away, understand?"

I nodded as the gaurd came back in and took me out of the room. He walked towards the community room and once we got their, he sat me down near my three friends and uncuffed me.

"You got questioned too?" Max asked.

"Yeah, yeah I did."
