Lucas's Pov:

The next few days I've been cleaning the cabin dusting the rooms washing the dishes and bedding trying to rewire the tv so it gets a better signal. I haven't thought about the incident with my father and brother and honestly I felt nothing no remorse anymore. Ashley is now 6 months old and starting to crawl she tries getting into everything so we had to go into the city to get groceries and these clip things for the cupboards and drawers.

There was a flyer in the store saying there was a job opening for store manager and knowing that we need the money I grabbed it and brought it home with us. When I called the store a girl answered "Hi this is Jackson City market how may I help you?" Her voice was like the most amazing thing I have ever heard. Shaking that out of my head I responded. "Yes umm.... I saw this flyer in the store and I was wondering if the assistant manager job was still avalible?" She explained how it was and she could set up the interview for tomorrow afternoon. Shit what about Ashley? "Umm I have my sis... I mean daughter is it alright that I bring her along with me? I have no one to watch her." There was a pause. " Yes that is perfectly fine. Well see you tomorrow at 3."

The next day I packed the diaper bag got Ashley dressed in a onesie and shorts with her pink rose head band. I've never been to a job interview before so I wasen't sure what to wear. So I put on a white button up with a black tie and a pair of black jeans. When I got to the store I saw a beautiful girl with black frayed hair with a nose and lip piercing. I had a lip ring on the right side of my lip while hers was a stud on the same side. Her eyes were hazel and they looked almost green in the light.

She smiled at me this must be her, the girl on the phone. I walked up to the counter, not going to lie I was nervous. "Umm... Hi I'm Lucas Black I'm here for the interview." I ran my fingers through my hair trying to not chicken out. Her eyes were locked with mine then she broke the silence. "Oh yes of course. Here's the application just fill that out and let me know when you're ready." After filling out the form I walked to the small office in the front of the store that's when I saw her again she waved to me in a flirty way and I waved back.

"Hey girl." I smiled at her she giggled and fixed her hair. "Hi. My name is Sara by the way." She held her hand out to shake mine. I gladly returned the gesture and shook her hand, our hands were together a little longer than a normal time for a hand shake. "That's a vary pretty name, perfect for a beautiful girl like you." She blushed and it made my heart race. "Well your not so bad looking yourself Lucas." Damn the way she said my name was just amazing.

"Hey umm.... while I'm in my interview can you watch Ashley for me." I asked nervously. "Oh of course. She looks just like you ya know. Where's her mommy?" Well I should tell her. "She disappeared after Ash was born. I havent seen her in months." She probably heard the hurt in my voice. "Oh. I'm sorry. Raising a baby on your own must be tough. I know how that goes my parents kicked me out after I got my piercings and cut my hair the way I did." How could anyone hate such a amazing girl and just because of piercings. Ding ding ding. "Well time for my interview, wanna maybe go get some coffee or something after?" She smiled and nodded.

After the interview Sara and I were on our way to get coffee when she asks me about where I lived. I explained how I live in a cottage in the woods and she was interested in seeing it so we skipped coffee and went strait there. The ride we were talking about each other like what our favorite color was what our favorite place to visit is everything. So far I liked this girl a lot there is just something about her that is special and I intend to find out.

We get to the cottage and she had a look on her face as if this was the most amazing place she had ever seen. I would love for her to be here with me and Ashley.... No! I shook my head. I just need to get close to her then get this over with, I don't fall in love I can't. We walked inside I put Ash in her playpen and Sara and I were in the living room watching a movie. She leaned onto my shoulder and curled up next to me, I didnt realize but she was asleep. I picked her up and brought her into the spare room. She looked so beautiful even when she was sleeping, I brushed a piece of her hair behind her ear and kissed her cheek.
