"No." This guy was ticking me off.
"Why not?!" Derek glared at me in the eyes daring me to speak again.
"Yeah why not? You always go to his house?" His sister complained beside me.
"Because he's comfortable with me, unlike you two. It took me couple of days to be friends with him and you both will just ruin all my hard work." I crossed my arms.
"We don't ruin anything!" Derek sighed before listing out.
"The time we had a swim party and you both pranked the adults by dumping lemonade on them, the birthday party where you scared the birthday girl to the point where she passed out, winter break when you both trapped me in the tool shed for three days, spring break where you placed a seaweed on me which happened to be a woman's bikini and they framed me for it, graduation party where you destroyed the chandelier and it landed on a kid causing him to have a cast, sum—" I flailed my arms signing that we got the point. I guess we do ruin some occasions because now people are weary of us and don't invite us to any parties, though I am dubbed as the "Queen of Pranksters" so I'll be proud of it."We promise we won't ruin anything, we just wanna say 'hi' that's all." Jazz said though Derek could see through her cheerful facade.
"No, now get out of my room!!" He bellowed, we ran out of the room in fear until we reached the living room.
"How are we gonna meet the kid?" I asked staring at the white ceiling.
"What's your fascination with the guy, do you have a crush?" She cooed, I gave her a side glare and she rose her hand surrendering. I thought about how we were gonna meet the guy. I instantly sat up from the couch.
"What are you thinking?" I smiled gleefully at her.
"We're gotta sneak in the trunk." I explained.
"I'm in, let's go before he leaves." We both ran out of the room and into the van.10:45 AM
This might've been the worst idea ever, it was really uncomfortable. Every second on the road we were jostled up and down, one time I bit my tongue. Jazz was leaning on me as we drove down the street into an isolated neighborhood. It was completely silent yet everything looked so clean. Derek shifted right causing Jazz to bump her head into mine.
"Ow!"
"You guys are terrible at hiding." Derek's voice ringed in the silence. I peaked up eyes to meet Derek's gaze at the mirror.
"How'd you know?" Derek rolled his eyes.
"You sound like scurried rats." He stated deadpanned. Just as I was about to talk Derek screeched to a halt forcing me to bang my head against the back window.
"Ow!!" I yelled but Derek was already out of the car and opened the trunk. Jazz and I hopped out and was about to scurry but Derek's grip on our wrists held us down.
"Do anything stupid that would hurt him and I will kill you." He growled in our ears before releasing is and walking toward a small blue house. I rubbed my poor wrist and followed Derek who was ringing the doorbell.
"Zane it's me." Silence then the scuffle of chains on the other side and the door opened.Let me just say, he wasn't all that impressive. Medium body frame, pasty pale skin, short grey-white hair and black eyes(like of unusual for an Asian guy). He's like a normal kid, an odd choice for someone like Derek to be hanging out with. Usually they're with bitches, hot playboys, and admirers not guys like...him. His eyes were wandering around, until he met mine and blushed, quickly averting his gaze to the ground. Oh great he likes me.
"Hey kid don't ever think about being my boyfriend anytime soon, you aren't my type got it?" I told him harshly, ignoring the obvious shift on his face from love to pain. Well at least he won't try and hit on me. Derek smacked me hard at the back of my head and grabbed Zane's wrist, dragging him inside the house.
"Ow." I drawled rubbing my abused cranium. Jazz whistled behind me.
"That was harsh Mia. You could've been more polite." She said, slightly scolding me. I have to agree with her, maybe I was a bit harsh. I shrugged.
"When was I ever a person to sugarcoat her words?" I asked before walking in the house, wondering where the two boys went. Apparently they were in the backyard, laying down on the grass laughing.
"What are you two lover boys doing?" I asked as I hovered above their faces. Zane was blushing when I looked at him and scoffed in annoyance, and turned to Derek who slapped me in the face leaving a red mark.
"Would you stop abusing me!? I will sue you!" I hollered in annoyance as Derek sat up looking at me with boredom and slight irritation.
"Then stop being a bitch toward everyone. This is why I never want to be near you when you act like this." He retorted nonchalantly before rubbing his finger against Zane's peaceful face which looked like he was asleep. This is getting weird. Jazz whistled behind him, gaining her brother's attention.
"You act like Prince Charming caressing Rapunzel's sleeping body." Jazz said before laughing hysterically rolling around on the grass and so did I. Derek groaned and poked Zane awake.
"Time to get up princess." Derek said jokingly earning him a puzzled expression which honestly was kinda cute. Like a kitten or something.
"Come on, I want some cookies." Zane immediately stood up and rushed inside, Derek turned to us and we gulped.
"You two are going to die when we come back home." He whispered murderously before going after Zane. We shivered in slight fear before walking inside.
