Chapter 14

"You what?" 

" I love you." He repeats.
I stand there in awe for 5 minutes before I realize I'm probably supposed to say something back.

"Uhm. Thank you?" That was a stupid reply. I just don't know if I'm ready to love him yet. I mean, he slept around, rejected me, and treated me like crap. But for the past few weeks he's been trying this hardest to be good. 

He just stares back at me. He nods his head slowly and walks away. 

"No! Wait!" I yell after him, but he just ignores me and walks up the stairs to his room. 
I sigh and run my hands through my messy hair. I realize it's been a few days since I've showered and I probably smell, so I jog up the stairs and open up the door to my room. I open the closet and grab out a navy blue skirt with polka dots and a white lace shirt to match. 

I go to the rest room and strip myself of the minimal clothes I had covering my body and step into the marble shower. 
I twist the hot water knob and let the water run down my dirty body. I lather myself with my vanilla scented shampoo and scrub my hair with matching shampoo.

I step out and dry myself and apply deaodorant then pull on my clothes. 

"Time to go and see what the packs up to." I sigh.

I climb down the stairs and run into Nic. He pulls me into a hug and I inhale his familiar scent of lemons and Honey.
"Hey there, Maxxi." He mumbles into my neck. 
"Hello, Nic." I laugh and pull away.

"How's the pack doing?" I question.
"We're doing good. I think Kian wanted to see you. He's in the kitchen." He informs me before walking off with Maizy, who gives me a quick hug. 

I walk into the kitchen and greet Kian who is munching on a burger.
"Kiaannnn." I sing. 
"Maxxxiiiii." he mocks, after swallowing his burger.
"Nic said you wanted to see me?"

"Oh yes. I have been informed that a new pack is moving into the city 10 miles away. I would like your permission to go there once they have moved in and make them our allys. Having a pack that close would surely be a plus when we have invaders." He says. 
"I think you should. That pack would be wonderful to have as an ally. What's their name?" I ask. 
"The Moonstone pack I think? Their are 2 other Moon Wolfs in the pack, so I thought you would love to join me along with Alpha." He smiles. 
I nod my head and give him a hug before walking to the living room.

"Ohhh Zachary. Where are you?" I call out. 
"I'm coming!" He yells and sprints inside from the back yard.
"You called, Luna?" He asks. I roll my eyes and laugh. 
"You know I hate formality, Zach." I smile and pat the seat next to me. 
He takes a seat and I face him.
"How are you and Rex?" I ask.

"We've mated, And I asked her to marry me." He grins widely. when the love of his life walks in. 
"REX. Why did you not tell me you were engaged to this bafoon?" I laugh. She chuckles and sits on Zach's lap. 
"He just asked me this morning. I was just looking for you to tell you, but it seems as if he beat me to it." She smiles and kisses his cheek. 
"Well Congratualations. Speaking of mates, let me go check on your Alpha." I groan and get up and leave to the stairs. 

While walking up the stairs, I run into Ark. I jump into his arms and hug him tightly. 
"He little bro. How are you feeling?" I ask. He mumbles good into my hair and I let him go. He smiles and heads back down the stairs. 

I slowly walk up the stairs and turn left and walk until I reach Chris' room. I hesitate before I push open the door. 

The room is empty.

(Thought that was a cliff hanger didn't you?)

"Chris?" I call out. No anser. 
Not this again. 

I begin to search the room and see a note on the bed.

Dear Maxxi,

No, I did not run away again.

Just went to the store real quick 

to pick up some Arizona.

We ran out.

Kian drank the last one. 

The little fricker.

Jesus this boy wants to give me a heart attack. I roll my eyes and throw the paper in the trash. 

"I bought you a doughnut." Is all I hear before I scream like a little girl and fall onto the floor in a fetal position. 

"Oh My God. I am so sorry. I did not know you were going to get scared. Oh dear. Or doe. Which ever one." He panicks and picks me up slowly. 

"You really do want me to die from a heart attack, don't you?" I mumble before grabbing the doughnut and shoving the whole thing into my mouth and swallowing it. 

"Why would I want that? I love you." He smiles. 

I think for about an hour while staring at his face. 

" I love you, too. "

GAHHHH . SAD. I will put up the sequal soon and It will start from a few weeks after she shoves the doughnut down her throat.
