Lady Elspeth glided out of her bed.
The sound of voices disturbed her thoughts.
"She mustn't know; she must be in her chambers", the Lord stared at a young woman. She was a Lady who spoke in a Welsh accent.
"She doesn't know about us...".
"Us? There was a plan to wed five years' ago. Yet, you broke it off".
"That wasn't my fault; that was Mother's fault".
"Nay; nay, your fault".
"Quiet, let's go to my chambers".
And she watched the Lord and the mysterious Lady head to his chambers...And close the door...just as Lady Elspeth begun to cry.
