A Lightning Bolt (Barry Allen x reader)

Chapter 5

     "You... You what?" Barry stuttered. You had no idea why you just told him that. You definitely weren't ready, it just sorta slipped out. Oh god what have you done? 

     "Did Iris out you up to this? Is this some kinda prank cause if it is its not funny" Barry said. 

     "What do you mean... Why would Iris..." You were super confused. 

     "Well maybe she told you that I've been in love with you since before I knew what love meant and you thought it would be funny-" you cut him off by kissing him on the cheek. 

     "Iris never told me anything..." You said quickly and looked down at the ground. Barry was blushing, it was super cute. You giggled at how red he was getting. 

     "I...uh..." Barry seemed to be at a loss for words. 

     "Fastest man alive, apparently not fast enough to realize he should just ask me out already." You said. His eyes went wide, 

     "oh, yeah, okay. Do you wanna get dinner with me tomorrow night?" You laughed. 

     "Of course I do." You hugged him. You couldn't believe this was happening.

*The Next Day*
     "(Y/N)!" Iris yelled. 

     "C'mon it's time to start getting ready for your date!" You ran down the stairs. 

     "Okay, come help me pick out my outfit!" You both went to your bedroom. After an hour of arguing you decided on an outfit. A dark blue dress with black flats. You took a shower, got dressed, and now Iris was doing your hair. The doorbell rang. Holy crap. You were actually going on a date with Barry Allen. You almost fell down the stairs you were so nervous. The date was amazing! Barry got you flowers, took you out to dinner, and then you guys went for a nice romantic walk around the city. You ended up going to Jitters to get some coffee. Everything was going so well. Until... A metahuman decided to show up. His name was Tony. You, Barry, and Iris had gone to school with him. (I know I skipped a few episodes, but I want this story to end with the season one finale so) He would always bully Barry about his dad being in prison. You saw that look on Barry's face again. It was the same face that Barry used to make whenever Tony would walk past him in the halls. Tony somehow turned his arm into metal, and then flipped a table. 

     "I'm looking for the flash!" He yelled. You looked over at Barry, he grabbed your hand, then suddenly you were miles away from Jitters, and Barry.
