Cora Love Blackwood is a 16 year old girl who believes in goodness, purity and much like her middle name, love. Her choice of weapons are 2 black sword that are always tied to her waist and a black and white blow/arrow.
When her family was killed by her father she was only 13 years old. Her family gained their abilities from their ancient ancestors who were once apart, demons and angels. But something went wrong and the two families, both angel and demon came together, this caused the birth of Coras father, he has the ability of an angel but the personality of a demon, whereas Cora has the appearance/ ability of a demon but personality of an angel (I'm sorry if that confused you but that is as simple as I could get).
Cora is terrified of death and murder whereas her father enjoys it. Storm Blackwood (Cora's father) as well as had the personality of a demon, had also slowly gone insane just before Cora was born but I will explain that very shortly. His personality with the addition of him becoming insane was what cause him to murder her entire family and future friends or lovers. (I'm starting to feel sympathy towards him :(. )
Storm had gone insane because he was once captured while trying to save the women he loved (Cora's mother) who was heavily pregnant (with Cora). It was not being captured that made him go insane it was what they did to him. In addition to Cora and Storms powers they also have black and white wings (which are what represents an angel or demon). Now, when Storm was captures he was tortured until he was on the verge of death, before the capture released him, they cut/burnt his wings off, this didn't kill him but cause him great pain and that is what made him go insane.
