SENPAI NOTICED ME

It had been a week since term started. Lily saw Jade and Ivy seemed excited.
"Hey, guys. What's up?" Jade saw Lily and giggled.
"Well, we just finished planning the trick. We'll tell you if you want."
"Yeah, sure." Lily sat next to her. It was tutor group and no-one was here yet apart from them.
"Well, you know how Mr North is really strict on not using phones, and you have to hand them in to him at the beginning of the lesson? And if it rings he will either hang up the call or pick up and tell off the person who's calling?" Lily nodded. Ivy looked around before continuing her plan. "Well, we've got a very special phone here. It's not real." Lily looked. It looked like a Nokia brick.
"Well, half an hour after activation, it will ring. And when it does, if you try to pick up or hang up the call;"
"It'll give you an electric shock," said Jade.
"It will start off pretty gentle. But every five minutes it will ring and every time you hang it up the shock will get worse and worse."
"So the first one he'll barely feel;-"
"But the fifth time it will hurt. We've tested. It's not bad enough to do any real damage, but it'll really be uncomfortable."
At that moment the teacher came in and the girls went quiet. Lily couldn't wait for third lesson, geography, when Mr North taught.

Lily had told her best friends about the trick at the three of them happily handed in their phones, trying not to laugh already. The first half of the lesson went as usual, but half way through the fateful moment came.
"Ring Ring! Ring Ring!"
Mr North paused.
"Who's calling the owner of this phone? Let's find out. I-" he pressed the pick up button. Lily had to bite her lip. He looked so confused. Slowly, he put the phone down.
"Anyway, as I was saying, Tourism negatively affects Brazil because..." He went on. He almost forgot about what happened.
"Ring Ring! Ring Ring!" Ivy and Jade, who sat four seats across from her, were laughing silently into their hands. The teacher once again tried to hang up the phone and his hand twitched.
The third time it happened some of the girls were beginning to clock what was going on. The ones near Jade had seen her and Ivy laughing and the whisper of what was going on spread through the class.
"Ring Ring! Ring Ring!" Mr North was confused. He didn't want to pick up the phone but he couldn't just leave it ringing.
"Um... Can someone come up? You!" He pointed to Sandi, who came up.
"Hang up the phone." Sandi did so, and pretended she couldn't feel any shock although Lily saw her clench her teeth.
"You didn't... Umm... Feel an electric shock, did you?" Sandi innocently shook her head. Confused, the teacher went on with the lesson. The fourth time it happened, everyone could hear the shock. The class was shaking with laughter. The lesson ended, and at the last moment the fifth ring happened. Mr North saw it, and ran away from the classroom. He looked so comical doing this that everyone burst out laughing. Jade hung up the 'call' using her pencil, and deactivated the device.
"How did you do it?" Annie asked.
"Oh my gosh, that was literally the funniest thing I've ever seen," laughed Jenny.
"Oh my god, the way he ran out of the room like a monster was chasing him! That was awesome!"
"Oh Sandi, when you said it wasn't doing it and he felt like he was going mad, it was priceless!"
Only one person wasn't laughing.
Only one person wasn't congratulating Ivy and Jade.
Becky.

"Hey, Ivy... Do you know Becky?" Ivy looked alert.
"Yes."
"What's the deal? She looked really mad, and Jade doesn't know her." A kind of smug satisfaction spread across Ivy's face, a side she had never shown before.
"Because I got her expelled."
"What! She said she never went to school before!"
"She did. She was a cheat. She stole people's work by cyber bullying them anonymously. I found her out."
"Why did they let her here?"
Ivy curled her lip. "That's what I'm trying to find out. Will you help me?"
"If you help me." The two shook hands.
"What do you want to find out?"
"Why my childhood bully was allowed to come here."
"Who's that?"
"Annie Field," Jess said.
