Once upon a time, there lived a grand and powerful king, who ruled over all of Northern Europe. He had it all, a large family consisting of a beautiful wife and 5 healthy sons. They each were entitled to a country. Then a darkness swooped over the land, as rumours of a dragon flooded the kings court. Of how it ate at livestock, tore at villagers and was just being a pain in the ass for the old king. And being so old, he could do nothing. Therefore, the King asked his sons to slay the beast. Each son said yes.

Technically.

I mean: yes, the youngest only said they would to impress the Lady Fridge of which whom he loved. And yes, the second oldest said yes whilst being very VERY drunk, but the other three all agreed.

The oldest, Berwald, Prince of Sweden rode out on a pale white stallion. Mathias, Prince of Denmark,(second in line) on a tan steed. The Prince of Finland rode next, looking as happy as ever. Truth be told Tino was always cheerful about something or other and it made his brother Berwald feel quite strange. And soon on black mare was the Prince of Norway and the Prince of Iceland; Emil and Lukas, the youngest two.

And so, as legend says, the 5 brothers rode out to slay the beast that had been terrorizing their people. Little did they know the surprise that fate had in store for them.

When they reached the cave the Dragon lived in, they met with a terrible sight. Sheep bones littered the entrance. And there were many skeletons of fallen soldiers.

Tino shivered. Berwald drew his arm around him.

Mathias burped (he was drunk again. He was always drunk. And he was always carrying a hip flask of beer.)

Lukas looked over to his younger brother. Emil was looking straight into the mouth of the cave. He was the bravest of the lot.

Maybe except for Berwald. But no one knew what Berwald was thinking.

\internally cries because I added some Sufin for you guys./

Then came a voice from inside the cave.

"PISS OFF THE LOT OF YOU! BEFORE YOU DO SOMETHING I REGRET"

The voice was female.

Mathias burped again, and wiggled his eyebrows at his brother, before yelling into the cave

"FEAR NOT FAIR MAIDEN, I SHALL RESCUE YOU FROM THE DREAD BEAST!"
"With the help of my brothers of course" he quickly added, silencing the stares from his siblings. Soon enough the reply came

"WELL, WHAT IF I... DON'T WANT TO BE RESCUED? YEAH! THE BEAST IS VERY NICE AND WANTS ME TO STAY HERE, SO I'M GONNA STAY WITH HIM..."

Mathias laughed nervously, and backed away. Berwald stormed ahead, and into the cave, much to Tino's distress about the situation.

It had been a few minutes since Berwald had entered the cave, and Tino was now clinging to Emil, sobbing his eyes out, whilst Lukas looked on and Mathias drank himself into a stupor again. Then, suddenly, Berwald reappeared carrying over his shoulder a young h/c haired woman wearing a tatty dress. She had 2 pairs of scaly f/c wings protruding from her back, and her eyes were reptilian yellow with slits for pupils.

"PUT ME DOWN PUT ME DOWN PUT ME DOWN PUT ME DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!" She screamed. Berwald dropped her at the feet of Lukas.

She didn't move for a while after that,so Lukas kicked her in the stomach. She groaned and propped herself up on her arms, wings rhythmically beating until she was floating a few inches off the ground.

"Now why did you have to go and do that. It really hurt." She groaned, looking up at Lukas.

He grunted and looked over at Mathias, who had just at that moment taken a swig of whatever was in his hip flask and was now choking on it.

"Well then. I take it your the dangerous beastie then? Well, I have to... I mean, we have to stop you." He said, eyes still streaming.

"Well now. I mean, I didn't really do anything. I mean, yes, I took those sheep. But I needed the food. And before you even ask, I did NOT kill those people. I would rather eat earwax than kill anyone. And we all know how bad that tastes, right kiddies?"
She said, addressing the audience and breaking the fourth wall.

"RIGHT. STOP BREAKING THE FOURTH WALL AND GET ON WITH IT."

"Fine. But  I didn't kill them. They killed themselves.... sort of."

"W-what do you mean sort of" asked Tino tremulously.

"I don't know.... listen if you want to kill me that's fine. I hate my existence. So go on. Please."

The brothers looked at each other and felt their hearts melt. Lukas stepped forward and helped the girl up to her feet.

"C'mon. Let's go." He murmured.

The girl, whose name was Y/n, was taken before the king who, in his old years, mistook her for their dead sister. Which was weird as they looked nothing alike. But this is a fairy tale and they always have a cliche ending.

So the five brothers and their new friend lived on for many peaceful years.

In the end, she married one of them.
