"Hey Kennedy. How you doing?" You asked quietly, sitting slowly on my hospital bed. I coughed, saying, "Oh, perfectly fine. I don't feel at all like I'm dying." Your smile got bigger, and then I said, "I was kidding." "Oh," and your smile faded. I took your hand, patting it lightly, and closed my eyes. "Promise me," I mumbled. You cuddled next to me on the bed, taking my other hand. "What?" "Promise me that you won't forget me," I whispered. You let out a throaty laugh, like you are trying not to cry. "What's so funny?" And I lightly slapped you. "How could I ever forget Kennedy Marie Harrison?" You smiled. "How do you know my middle name?!" I asked nervously. It's only been mentioned in my letters. "Oh, it says it on your doctors slip," you said. Good thing you haven't seen these letters....four more left.
