Dear Jake,
"Hi Danny! We've heard so much about you," Mom smiled. We were eating fried chicken and mashed potatoes.
"Such a shame Kennedy never asked to go out with you," Dad grumbled. Mom had made sure that when he came home, he was sober enough to have dinner.
"Well, we started dating last week. So far it's been great," Danny smiled, holding my hand under the table. I blushed, still a little nervous about things.
Then it got worse. Ella came downstairs, wearing a crop top with skinny jeans. Mom stood up from the table, her face turning red. "Ella. Go change."
"What do you mean? This is what I'm wearing to Sara's party," Ella rolled her eyes. Mom took her arm, leading her upstairs. Dad looked at me and Danny holding hands. "I don't want you doing anything to my daughter unless there's protection," he grumbled. I immediately stood up, walking Danny to the front door.
We sat on the patio, and he pulled me in for a kiss that lasted a couple of minutes (yes, there was tongue involved). "You should go. Sorry about that..." I whispered.
"No prob. Trust me, my family is worse. You'll see on Friday," Danny stood up. "What's on Friday?" I asked. "I'm taking you to meet my parents." Then Danny waved, driving away in his car.
Jake, wasn't that dinner embarrassing? At least Mom didn't show Danny my baby pictures....Love Always,
Kennedy
